looks like the definition of insanity to me.
They should come to some agreement with the Freedom Caucus instead of repeatedly banging their head against the wall. But then it wouldn't be the Republican leadership we know and love.

With McCarthy refusing to withdraw, I don’t think there can be any agreement with the Freedom Caucus - at least five of its members have said they won’t vote for him under any circumstances. Boru

I’m starting to wonder if they could just briefly expel the Freedom Caucus. Not even forever, just for long enough to actually get anywhere on a vote. It’s probably not, but short of convincing 5 republicans to vote for Hakeem Jeffries just so they can get on with their lives, it might be the only way anyone gets anywhere.
