We don't actually spend much on foreign aid. An interesting subject on it's own, particularly because the public perception of foreign aid is off by orders of magnitude and it frequently ends up being a factor in our political decisions nonetheless. When we do break out the checkbook, though, expectations are attached. If you think the us is arming ukraine out of the goodness of it's heart, I have a bridge to sell you.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Ukraine doesn't give back anything to the US in exchange for aid and countries around the world don't pay a single penny for US protection of international supply chains.

I think you can probably work out why the us might be financially interested in international supply chains, as well as politically and militarily interested in ukraines success. Truth be told, we're similarly interested in climate change - as both an economic risk and a national security issue. You believe it will be peachy. Our government does not.

No, it won't. Especially in the long run. So no hoping and dreaming... Hehe

Lol because stability and not having hostile nations in control of more land is in no way in America's best interest. I would love to see you debate Bel on the idea America's foreign policy isn't geared toward benefiting America... Hehe

🤣

It is also a scientific fact that vertebrates evolved to live in salt water and breathe through gills.

You are so stupid and ignorant you actually think little meaningless factoids can overwhelm entire panoply of practical considerations in forming practical policy.

How is a scientific fact that northern countries will benefit from warmer climate meaningless? And not paying $60 trillion for something America didn't cause is a very practical consideration for American taxpayers.
