Why?  Only sheeple obey.  Only slaves obey.  I will not follow the herd and I am not a slave.  Not to god, jesus or anybody else.  Does this offend anybody here?  If not, maybe we can have some interesting discussions.

No. No one here is offended by you. 
The only thing you need to "obey" is yourself ... you need to be true to yourself. 
Generally it has to be legal and "well informed", -- in your own best long-term interest,
but welcome. You need not obey the herd.
