tl;dr: Eastern MA and the major cities are blue. Rest of state tends red.
Massachusetts demography: The major cities - Boston, Worcester, Springfield, Cambridge, Somerville, Fall River, Holyoke, Lowell, Lawrence... are all dark blue. The suburbs around them are purple in the eastern part of the state and red west of the Route 95 belt. West of Worcester the population density thins out massively (> 65% of the 7 million MA residents live from Worcester east). The red swath is broken up by Springfield and the college enclaves of Amherst and North Hampton before solid red takes hold in the Connecticut river valley. Extreme western MA in the Berkshires tends to be Vermont-style liberal.
Many of the mill towns in western MA, e.g. Ware (the town that can never be found) resemble rural Appalachia - rusty downtowns with box stores and little other industry, lots of "FJB" stickers on pickup trucks.
Class is more indicative of politics than ethnicity. A majority of white collar folks are liberal to moderate. Majority of working class are MAGA to moderate. Eastern MA's population dominates election cycles. The Boston TV stations don't cover news west of Worcester. That's the "springfield/albany" market.
I don’t remember Massachusetts being so colourful.

Congressman George Santos: A Scumbag's Scumbag
Ole George is all in on scumbaggery. Stole the ID of campaign donors, milked funds from their credit cards, had all of $8k in the bank when he "loaned" his campaign $500k. Go big or go home George!

There is a flight to Bukarest going. My girlfriends brother lives in Bukarest. Most probably they will arrive at 2:00AM, sleep there, and tomorrow take a flight to Frankfurt, from where i can pick em up.
We are living in crazy times.
Edit: Plane just took off
Here's hoping all get safely back home. Was today at my best friends place. Her eldest also was joining and i listened to his first hand account from Tel Aviv. From him lying at the beach, with contrails suddenly overhead, to rocket debris hitting the beach 50m from him, to being in the air raid shelter of the airport. Some people were buying multiple tickets in the hope ONE flight might be not canceled. Ticket prices were skyrocketing during the initial attack (all the while air raid sirens were going off IN the airport). He got a ticket to Bukarest for 800€ (normal price for this 3hr flight is maybe 200€). People at the end of the queue paid up to 2000€, per ticket! The planes which took off had first to land (duh!) and they had to drag people kicking and screaming FROM these airplanes to free the seats for the new passengers with the overpriced tickets. It was pandemonium. As i could see on flightradar, the planes first stayed pretty low (10kft) until they left the umbrella of the iron dome, only then they climbed to service ceiling of the usual ca. 40kft.
He fell asleep soon after takeoff and woke up in Bukarest. The Uber was already advised by my gf (21st century, baby!) and took the couple to my gfs sister in law. She fed them (at 2AM) and then everyone fell asleep. Next day they flew with Lufthansa to Frankfurt. From there they went home, lowered the shades and slept for the rest of the day.

Calvin and Hobbes creator speaks! (On his first published work in 28 years)
Polygon
Quote:Bill Watterson, creator of the revered comic strip Calvin and Hobbes, has released a new graphic novel — his first published work in the 28 years since Calvin and Hobbes ended.
......
The Mysteries, published Tuesday, is described by its publisher Andrews McMeel as “a mysterious and beautifully illustrated fable about what lies beyond human understanding.” Written by Watterson, it’s an elusive story about a medieval-style kingdom afflicted by terrible events, and what happened to the knights dispatched to discover the source of these calamities.
