Gotta love Texas

The thing here (N. Texas) is that they aren't just targeting hair like his.  The schools around here stopped allowing what they termed to be unnatural hair colors.  That didn't mean that a brunette couldn't bleach their hair but that they could no longer have even streaks of colors such as blue, red, purple.  Applied highlights didn't count as being against the rule.  'Cause that's what's important to focus on...not the education of the students.

Barbers Hill Independent School District  from having hair extending below the eyebrows, ear lobes or top of a T-shirt collar, according to the student handbook. Additionally, hair on all students must be clean, well-groomed, geometrical and not an unnatural color or variation.

Based on the picture, this young man doesn’t appear to be in violation.

In defending George's in-school suspension, the school explicitly noted that dress codes and hair standards are in place in order to teach conforming to social norms.
