In what may be the ultimate irony, Tennessee is going to allow teachers to carry firearms in schools, provided they:
-Maintain a valid carry permit -Submit two sets of fingerprints -Pass state and federal background/criminal history checks -Receive psychological/psychiatric evaluation from a licensed healthcare provider -Complete 40 hours of certified training in school policing and firearm safety -Have all of the above signed off by the school principal, the district school superintendent, and the chief of the appropriate law enforcement agency. This only applies to teachers. Shouldn’t it apply to anyone who wants to play Wyatt Earp? Boru
