"The Office of Homeless Solutions was designed to be the change agents in the homeless community. With the help of partnering organizations and community members like you, we offer strategic initiatives and street outreach to overcome homelessness throughout the city by implementing initiatives with consistency, transparency, and accountability. Our innovative solutions ensure our homeless neighbors receive food, shelter, housing, help to overcome barriers, and opportunities for a better life. We seek to provide public and private partners with the tools, resources, and opportunities to join the cause and help unsheltered individuals in our community."
Looks a lot to me like a group that is trying to stop panhandling by providing things that are needed by the homeless community and to help them get off the streets. Heartless bastards.
So what they are saying is: “don’t help the poor, you’re doing it wrong.”
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

SUMMARY
Just like Matt Dillahunty, I have had many conversations with theists over the years.
Sometimes, there comes a point where you ask something or maybe you give a reasonable answer to the theist and the theist feels trapped.
THE “you are intelligent, therefore there is a human like intelligence that makes everything” ARGUMENT.
AKA ANTHROPOMORPHING THE UNIVERSE/REALITY TECHNIQUE
^^^^^@3:55 The christian says: Are you guys both right now, intelligently and intentionally directing your thoughts right now with me, on this show?
Matt Dillahunty says: As far as I can tell. (Matt is saying yes)
The christian says: So, that possibility is overwhelming toward for someone to say “No, they know that they don’t believe that it’s out there beyond Blue Marble, millions of billions of are out”
(I think the christian is saying that Matt is certain that there is no possibility of intelligence being found elsewhere in the universe.
I am only writing down exactly what the christian is saying.)
Matt Dillahunty says: Shaun, the fact that I can direct my intelligence toward a goal doesn't mean that there’s some intelligence beyond the universe that is directed towards a goal.
THE BATTERY ARGUMENT
@5:18 The christian says: You guys rely on higher sources in your life, you acknowledge that, correct?
Matt Dillahunty says: What higher sources are you talking about?
The christian says: Well higher source, just to break it down, and then use the main source right now, the Sun. Without the Sun, you would not exist.
(I am only writing down exactly what the christian is saying.)
Jen says: That’s not a higher source, that is a celestial body. It’s a star.
The christian says: Would you agree that the Sun is not dependent upon you for its existence.
Jen says: That’s correct.
The christian says: But you are totally dependent upon the Sun for your existence.
Jen says: Yes as is everything on this planet.
The christian says: It may not be an intelligent higher power but it’s still a higher power.
Jen says: I acknowledge that the Sun exists and we are dependent upon it.
.........too long. Here is a summary:
Anyway, his argument comes down to saying that the Sun is an energy source, a battery.
My Comment: For a remote control, the alkaline batteries are the higher power.
Gasoline or petrol is the higher power for the internal combustion engine.
Grass is the higher power for cows.
The christian is telling us that there is a battery and his name is god.
TWO PEOPLE HAVING A DISCUSSION BUT THE THEIST DOESN’T LISTEN. THE CONVERSATION BREAKS DOWN.
@14:10 The christian says: Ask another question right now, ask away.
Matt Dillahunty says: Please present evidence that would confirm the existence of a god.
The christian says: You mean tangible evidence, right. Physical, corporeal, palpable
Matt Dillahunty says: I’ll take whatever you can offer because so far...because everything you’ve pointed our so far, I’ve demonstrated it is not evidence for a god.
The christian says: Right now, can I point out how dishonest that question is? You want tangible, palpable evidence right now from me to you when I can’t give it to you over this video screen.
Matt Dillahunty says: Actually, you’re the one...Hey Shaun, you’re the one who said tangible, palpable evidence. I believe I said I’ll take whatever you’ve got.
The christian says: You agree with it. You already agree with it and I thank you for that. My case is proven. You can’t say you know for a fact there is none. I can say that there is a possibility.
THE ICING ON THE CAKE. THE CHERRY ON THE SUNDAE.
@15:25 Matt Dillahunty says: If I were to demonstrate an intentional act, from that, could you conclude that there was some other intentional act in another set of circumstances?
The christian says: In another set of circumstances?
Matt Dillahunty says: Correct. Are you watching? I am holding up a pair of sunglasses and I throw them. We can agree this was an intentional act. That does tell you in any way that the rock that fell down earlier was the result of an intentional act?
The christian says: I and you know that is awesome. Only if you, personally tell me why you did that, then I would know. Hench, most of our relationships with christ....
Matt interrupts the christian
Matt Dillahunty says: You have seen me directly take an action. Both of us would agree that it was an intelligent directed act, right?
The christian says: Well you know, there are magicians type deals, you could do but I see that happen right now, correct, I just seen you do that with glasses.
Matt Dillahunty says: Okay, so are we an agreement that me throwing those glasses was an intelligent act?
The christian says: I wouldn’t say that it was an intelligent act
Well, that keeps going on an on. The christian is having trouble answering the question. He understood the question but doesn’t want to go forward with it by giving a simple YES/NO answer.
@18:43 Matt hangs up on the christian since the conversation is not going forward, the christian doesn’t give a simple answer.
Jen: There is a reason why he didn’t want to answer that question
Matt basically says: I have had many discussions with theists for the past 12 y. You can view any questions I ask as a trap because it is designed to expose fallacies in your argument.
If your goal is to preserve your fallacious argument at all cost, you will try to avoid those traps.
But, if you are after reason, logic, the truth, those questions aren’t traps. They are big lighthouses that are designed to lead you away from the rocks and they will take you to reality.

Driving in certain areas of downtown is dangerous with people walking into traffic trying to get money from people trying to get to work.
You need to dismount that fucking high horse you ride.
Ya but how many people are doing that sort of scam? My guess is, not many.
Also, people should probably report these cases to the police, since fraud = crime.
The police can write the info into the fraudsters profile, and include the dashcam video into this file, if one is available.
The next time the fraudster tries that again, give him 1 y in prison.
If everyone stays quiet, nobody calls the cops, then the fraudster's record will look clean.

At no time did I imply that the people who panhandle on the streets of downtown Dallas are fraudsters.

When you're a Christian woman, you can't just go to Cannes like a normal person. Instead, you have to wear a giant cape with a painting of Jesus. Then, you have to accuse everyone who doesn't bow to your cape, or just finds it on the way, of being a persecutor of Christians. Actress Massiel Taveras really revealed how the movie industry hates Jesus and Christians.

The Catholic priest saw 'possessed' 5ft nun crawl up a wall 'like a squirrel' and 'overpower six men' and was seen by 2000 people. He was also asked to go out for a drink by Satan!
Reverend Daniel Reehil performs exorcisms on people who he says have been possessed by the devil, and recently revealed some of the scariest things he's seen.
"I remember there was a little nun, about 100lbs, 5ft. When she was going through a deliverance, it took six large men, my size, to hold her down."
"I’ve seen that same nun run up a 20ft wall like a squirrel, and 2,000 people at a conference saw it too."
"We had people flying from all over the world staying with us. Some for a week, [but] that one little nun who crawled the wall, she was there for over a year. It took a year."
"She was satanically ritually abused as a baby and she didn’t know it. And so that had to all come out."
-- On meeting Satan --
Reverend Reehil recalled: "I come out of the church and there’s this beautiful, handsome man [in a] custom tailored suit, and he’s staring at me.
"I turned to walk towards my office and he runs up next to me and he grabs me by the arm.
"He goes, 'Let’s get a drink'. And I just had chills go up and down my body and I said, 'Get away from me.'"
Reverend Reehil ran away from the strange man and escaped to his New York apartment, and didn't think much of the incident until a few years later, after he had become a priest.
"I was on vacation visiting an old banker friend in a bar in Miami," he recalled.
"I turned and I look and it’s him, it’s the one who wanted to get the drink.
"He walks up, and he goes, ‘What are you doing here, I thought you were gonna be a priest?’ And he goes, 'This is my territory. You shouldn’t be here.'"

Theists are always claiming that their god is mysterious, that he plays hide and seek when I ask them why doesn't he want to show himself.
When I ask why doesn't the Satan guy show himself, they say that he doesn't want to give evidence either bc then I would start believing in the jewish god.
So, why are these devils or whatever giving evidence like the above story?
On top of that, if the policy is to not give evidence, then why did Jesus show up 2000 y ago (or Moses, or Esiah, or Mohammed or Joseph Smith or whoever the prophet of the year was.)
Now, the theist is stuck. He would have to say
1. God works in mysterious ways we don't understand. He will quote that line from the Bible, something about "my ways are not your way"
2. He is a god. He can do whatever he wants.
