Russian State TV host Vladimir Solovyov described Tulsi Gabbard (you know, soon-to-be Director of National Intelligence) as their "girlfriend" and agreed that she is Putin's agent.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Ah yes, it's the Dems who are losing touch with the working class while Trump apparently showed he cares for them. That's why a Trump-appointed conservative judge just blocked extra pay to 4 million workers that Biden tried to give them.
Quote:Trump Judge Blocks Overtime Pay For 4 Million Workers
On Friday a federal judge in Texas struck down a new rule from the Biden administration aimed at extending overtime protections to millions of workers.
Judge Sean D. Jordan of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas ruled that the Labor Department went beyond its authority in issuing the regulation earlier this year. He granted summary judgment to the state of Texas, which had sued to stop the rule from taking effect.
The overtime rule is one of the furthest-reaching economic reforms that President Joe Biden has pursued unilaterally through the federal rulemaking process. It would dramatically expand the share of workers who are entitled to time-and-a-half pay when they work more than 40 hours in a week.
But thanks to court battles like the one in Texas, the regulation’s future was in doubt even before Donald Trump, who has broadly promised to undo Biden’s agenda, won the presidential election.

Quote:A woman told the House Ethics Committee that she saw former Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) “having sex with a minor” at a party, Florida attorney Joel Leppard confirmed to The Hill on Saturday.
“As the Senate considers former Rep. Gaetz’s nomination for attorney general, several questions demand answers,” Leppard told ABC News on Friday. “What if multiple credible witnesses provided evidence of behavior that would constitute serious criminal violations?”
Leppard represents two women who testified behind closed doors to the committee this year.
Gaetz, President-elect Trump’s congressional ally, resigned from the House on Wednesday just hours after Trump tapped him as the next attorney general.
The former congressman has repeatedly denied wrongdoing in a multi-year probe into allegations that he had a sexual relationship with a minor. The Department of Justice (DOJ) closed its investigation last year and did not press criminal charges against Gaetz.

It appears (based on cursory reading) that background checks are a tradition rather a legal requirement.
It is unsurprising that Trump is skipping the background checks for some of his nominees - as long as they lick his boots and look good on television, what difference does it make to him if they have a criminal past?

Has anyone told infectious diseases to take a break for the next eight years?
Quote:RFK Jr.: “Thank you [to the NIH] for public service. We’re going to give infectious disease a break for about eight years.”
Kennedy wants to take a “break” from studying infectious diseases like COVID-19 and measles.

There’s an upside: a spike in infectious disease will disproportionately affect Trumpites. Just like it has been.
