Christianity; the World's Most Violently Persecuted Religion

RE: Christianity; the World's Most Violently Persecuted Religion
Quote:I can, and I will be donating way freaking more than $50 to helpless people, so why do I need you to donate 50$ to something when I'm already going to donate vastly more then 50$ ? I mean, just donate the $50 to someone or something.

I would think this is pretty basic math, but lets go.

Person A (you) donates $50 dollars to charity.

Sum of amount sent to charity you support = $50.

Person B (me) donates $50 dollars to charity.

Sum amount sent to charity you support = $100.

Can you stop derailing the thread if you have nothing to contribute?

A simple letter; you couldn't even do that.

"A Living Death - How Christian Women Experience Persecution"

Quote:Aisha’s northern Nigerian community of Kano was attacked by Hausa-Fulani Islamic militants who forced their way into her home. They saw a Bible in the room and assumed Aisha’s husband was a pastor. Immediately, they grabbed him and took him away. She assumed they would kill him. Then the men demanded sex from her. When she refused, they beat her up. Two of the attackers raped her.

One month after Rikiya’s husband died, her village was attacked and burnt down by Boko Haram. When she received the news, she gathered her children and fled with nothing but the clothes on their backs. They stayed in another village for two months before it was safe to return. She had lost it all. “When I came back, it was not easy for me. I was a widow with three children. It was not easy,” she says, pinching her eyes to hold back the tears. “I was so traumatized; my husband is gone, and Boko Haram had captured our village.”

Again I know it's not going to me. I clearly said I don't need you to donate money when I'm already going to donate money myself to the charities I care about. Were the hell you get the notion that donating my own money to charity and not requiring you to do it makes me self absorbed is a level of derp all it's own. Also an actual loser attaches charity to an internet feuds rather then just giving to charity for it's own sake that's loser behavior.

Per the United States Department of State on Christians in North Korea...

Quote:In an October 2021 report, the nongovernmental organization (NGO) Korea Future described the government’s denial of religious freedom as absolute and cited multiple incidents of arbitrary arrest and detention, torture and inhuman treatment, and executions of persons because of their religious belief.

The NGO Open Doors USA (ODUSA) estimated that authorities held 50,000 to 70,000 citizens in prison for being Christian. ODUSA stated that Christians experienced persecution that was “violent and intense” and that “life for Christians … is a constant cauldron of pressure; capture or death is only a mistake away.”

Feud?

Friend, I was trying to give you a chance to save face - to not even have to admit you lied - hell, you could have even continued lying! - and yet still do a good thing for someone or something you cared about.

Yeah - I intended to donate that money to charity one way or another and still will; literally the only thing that changed for me was that I was offering you an olive branch.

What you choose to do with it is your choice, but you snapping it and throwing a hissy fit hardly constitutes a "feud" - more a minor annoyance, like dog shit on the bottom of your shoe that just won't stop smelling or a pesky seagull constantly bothering you for your sandwich.

Yes pretty basic that if I'm already donating to charity I don't need you too.

Quote:Person A (you) donates $50 dollars to charity.
Yeah I and I'm already doing that and I don't require you too

Quote:Sum of amount sent to charity you support = $50.
Yeah I'm supporting the charity myself I don't need you to donate 50$

I can already donate 100 dollars ( and already am going to donate far more) myself why would I need you to donate 50$ when I can donate 100$ myself ?

Quote:Can you stop derailing the thread if you have nothing to contribute?
It's not a derailment if it's a response and it's a contribution if it's a response. Also i could pickles 500 times and have more to contribute to this thread then you buddy so hush

Quote:A simple letter; you couldn't even do that.
Yup something I in way shape or form needed to do because I'm already donating more than $100 to charity, and I am still right, and I didn't try and use charity in an internet feud, so this comes out all good for me lol

It's amazing to me that Christians, who support and are supported by the omnipotent god they worship, should find themselves on the shit-end of the stick. Surely their faith and devotion to this utterly powerful being would be enough to shield them from worldly persecution; but no, somehow this god of theirs cannot shield them from any suffering.

It's also interesting that while they talk volumes about the sacrifices of their Jesus, this whole "immigrants are coming to take my jobs" thing is a huge ask for them, but the Jesus they claim to worship advised to "Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me".

At least in Catholicism God isn't supposed to prevent you from suffering.

I cant say it's surprising that when you hear of an all-powerful God the only thing you can think is, "How can he benefit me though?"

It's a nice post; Christians have been dealing with the concept of "in-group/out-group" since the writing of the Book of Acts and one that we thankfully got sorted out pretty quickly; rejecting the insular and ethno-centric legal beliefs of Rabbinic/Pharisaic Judaism and instead embracing an ideology that allowed all ethnicities and women to be both welcomed into the fold and gave them a prominent role in the faith.

The Catholic Church is doing everything it can to provide support to those at the border; unfortunately most border Catholic communities are significantly economically struggling themselves and the broader Church has been barely keeping itself afloat.

Yeah, no, that's not how this went down. I told the truth, and you played dumb or are dumb, either way it doesn't matter (Though I don't but the latter). And I'm already going to do something good for something I care about with my own money. But delusional narrative you need to spin, go right ahead.

Quote:Yeah - I intended to donate that money to charity one way or another and still will; literally the only thing that changed for me was that I was offering you an olive branch.
I don't need your olive branches buddy because I have nothing I needed to make peace over. I told the truth and you played dumb. So cut this peacemaker nonesense. I'll donate my own money to charity and you can do whatever.

Lol nope, no snapping or hissy fits to be found, more like a person who told the truth and the whatever nonsense you were pulling. Nah, it was a feud and one you have soundly lost. The only thing that resembles dog shit on this thread, your attempt to pretend otherwise.
