This is something that all people with morals should be doing. Boycott this crap and let the fascists stew in their juices.
It's not possible for me to boycott Twitter, but I support the idea.

Boru It seems I was way ahead of them. X and Twitter are too often the discussion equivalent of a village idiot annual get together. The deep slide towards the extreme right has not improved things, unsurprisingly.

Geez, I deleted the tweeter not long after Leon bought it. Never been on the face booker, instagram, or any others. Sounds like I'm no missing much.

Bluesky seems to be the only social media app untouched by the conservative insanity. But we'll see how long that lasts.
Lots of people disliked losing all their followers on Twitter and Meta-related platforms, but they left anyway.

I've never had a Twitter account. My FB has lain dormant for years. I don't engage in the TwitterMetaVerse, just the same as I don't let the homeless guy at the train station come up to me and yell in my face.

This will be dropped in a few weeks once Trump tells them to because they are above-the-law-boys.
Quote:S.E.C. Sues Elon Musk Over Twitter-Related Securities Violations
U.S. securities regulators sued Elon Musk in federal court in Washington on Tuesday in an enforcement action arising from his $44 billion purchase of Twitter, now called X.
The S.E.C. contends that in buying Twitter in 2022, Mr. Musk violated securities laws by amassing a large stock position in the company without filing the proper notification. The complaint said he had waited 11 days before filing the required disclosure with the S.E.C.
The regulatory filings are required so investors in the marketplace can monitor the moves of large investors and potential takeover bids.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Though I wouldn't call it desertion, per se, I can certainly see them dropping the platform like a hot rock. Not sure why a government institution would use something like "X". I guess I should go look to see if my old company has a presence there.

For $8 a month, it's a relatively cheap form of promotion.
