Unconsciousness cannot cause consciousness. The Principle of Causality states that the Cause is always (yes. always) greater than the Effect.

Yeah, that’s not only not what it says, it’s also not true. The patch of ice on a roadway is in no sense greater than the six car pile up it causes.

Please stop trying to use science to justify your particular brand of magic.

A six car pile up couldn't cause a patch of ice on a roadway, so actually....the patch of ice kind of is greater than the pile up.

Depends on what you mean by "greater". If you want wreckage the pile up wins. If you're looking for low coefficient of friction, the ice has it hands down. If we're looking for marketability or capacity to be the Saviour of Mankind then neither is terribly useful. It's a useless metric because it doesn't mean anything.

Well, friction is more important than wreckage, so ice still wins.

Define ‘importance’. The wreckage is far more important than friction to the insurance company, but friction (or lack thereof) is far more important than wreckage to a ball bearing.

Insurance companies depend on a lack of friction on the road to keep supplying them with new customers.
