Americans are divided on which party to blame if funding lapses after midnight tonight, according to a new PBS News/NPR/Marist poll. Yet a plurality – 38% – say Republicans, who control the White House and both houses of Congress, would be most at fault.

In the new poll, 27% would blame Democrats, while 31% believe both parties would be equally to blame.

While majorities of both Democratic and Republican poll respondents unsurprisingly blamed the other party, 41% of independents said both parties share the blame equally. Another 36% of independents would blame Republicans, significantly more than the 19% who would blame Democrats.

Harvard University’s decision to appoint a drag queen named LaWhore Vagistan has enraged right-wing bigots.

The Ivy League university announced it had hired the drag performer, known out of drag as Kareem Khubchandani, to give lectures as part of its Studies of Gender and Sexuality program.

The performance artist and researcher holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology and anthropology, as well as a Master’s degree and PhD in performance studies from Northwestern university. His research focuses on the intersection between queer nightlife, global politics, ethnography, the South Asian diaspora, and drag.

Academic qualifications MUST take a back seat to what you are!  What is wrong with appointing a cis white Christian male with a junior college degree in welding (incomplete) to teach gender and sexuality at an Ivy League university?

What’s next - letting people be airline pilots just because they know how to fly commercial jets? COME ON!

A Muslim just stabbed to death two Jewish people around where I work. Seems to be all over the news around where i live.
Its not that far from the arena that got bombed by a Muslim a few years back and killed those kids.
