Imagine poisoning people and not caring about it—that is who Elon Musk is.
The Justice Department told a federal court in Mississippi that Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence company, xAI, has the right to run dozens of polluting gas-burning turbines in the state despite not having permits for them.
The Justice Department late on Monday said that the court should throw out a lawsuit against xAI that was brought by the NAACP claiming that the turbines violate the Clean Air Act. The suit threatens national security by “seeking to shut off the power supply for artificial-intelligence innovation that supports the Department of War’s military operations,” according to the memo, which was signed by Stanley Woodward Jr., associate attorney general and the No. 3 official in the department.
The memo also argued that the federal government should have unchallenged authority to stop environmental lawsuits brought by private groups or individuals.
“It’s remarkable for the United States to intervene on behalf of a polluter in a case like this,” said Laura Thoms, director of enforcement at Earthjustice, which represents the NAACP along with the Southern Environmental Law Center. “Ordinarily, they would intervene to enforce the law,” she said, referring to the Clean Air Act, which requires facilities like power plants to seek permits and install pollution-control technologies.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Just think, they're doing all of this to support a pump and dump scheme. A cluster of companies that lose money sucking at the government teat, being declared immune from regulations, getting rule changes to force institutional investment, artificially constraining supply........all of it a global market risk.

Elon Musk said that becoming a quadrillionaire is “not impossible,” but it would require factories on the Moon and Mars, and an economy based on mass and energy rather than dollars.
Musk made the comment after a post on X noted he would need another $998.9 trillion to become the world’s first quadrillionaire.
He linked the idea to a Kardashev II civilization, in which massive energy production could render today’s financial system irrelevant.

SpaceX — Elon Musk’s money-losing rocket start-up that has soared into the orbit of all of those tech juggernauts with a fleet of fantastical plans instead of ubiquitous products. With a more than $2.4 trillion valuation as of Thursday, SpaceX is the world’s sixth-most-valuable company.
Its market value is based on promises of putting data centers in space and establishing a colony of a million people on Mars, a premise so far-fetched that three experts reached by The Washington Post to break down the factors driving SpaceX’s valuation declined to ascribe any impact to it, despite the fact that Musk’s compensation is tied to SpaceX achieving that goal.
“[If] anyone else said it, they would probably have him institutionalized,” said Greg Martin, managing director of private markets at the firm Rainmaker Securities.

Oh no, Elone is not a trilly anymore
Quote:Elon Musk is no longer a trillionaire after a global rout in tech shares wiped $500bn (£379bn) off his fortune.
The tech mogul became the first person ever to reach the milestone after the record-breaking listing of his rocket company SpaceX this month.
However, its shares have fallen around 30pc from their peak last week, while Tesla, Mr Musk’s car company, was swept up in a widespread sell-off of technology stocks on Tuesday.
His wealth now stands at $957.1bn, according to analysis by Bloomberg. Calculations by Forbes suggested his net worth peaked at $1.45tn last week.
The decline in his personal fortune over the past week is worth more than the entire wealth of Larry Page, the world’s second-richest man, whose fortune stands at just under $297bn.

But he'll come back. He has to 😢

Elon hits a new low, showing that in spite of all his money, he's still at the bottom of society.
Quote:Elon Musk is a fan of the Armie Hammer-starrer Citizen Vigilante.
After Citizen Vigilante was banned in Germany, according to The Telegraph, because regulators refused to grant the film an age rating over concerns that its violent content could incite violence against immigrants, Musk posted the full movie to his X account, which has more than 240 million followers, making it available to watch for 48 hours. Uwe Boll, the German filmmaker who wrote and directed Citizen Vigilante, also shared the film. While it’s no longer available on either account, the movie has since been reposted by X users.
