Over here in the United Kingdom we
have a rape conviction rate of less than
seven per cent : do not know what the law
is in America but a jury here cannot convict on
emotion : there has to be hard evidence otherwise
a guilty verdict cannot be returned : the problem is that
unless there is an independent witness then it is reduced to
who you believe more the man or the woman and that is really
no way to determine truth especially in cases which are serious as
rape : so jurors here would rather let a guilty man go than an innocent
one be jailed : of course they do not actually know that though but with so
many going free by the laws of average they can not all be innocent since that
would suggest most women who bring such an allegation are for whatever reason
lying about it : there are indeed ones who do that but I do not believe for one second
that it is as high as ninety three per cent though of course I can not prove it : remember
that many rapes are not even reported and that is a tragedy in itself : one thing I am totally
in favour of is for compulsory therapy for anyone receiving a custodial sentence for sexual crimes
even if that crime is for bringing a false allegation and nothing else : an individual who has their name
tarnished may have to live with it for a long time even though they are innocent and have been exonerated

But you must remember that as the science of 'rape detection' advances... so too do the tools of rapists.

I don't have any hope for it without some sort of 'Big Brother'... and I prefer to suffer a chance of being raped to the safety of being watched 24/7 (assuming that the watcher isn't 'corrupt').

trial should be a female only jury because
women generally are superior to men when
reading facial expression and so determining
if someone is lying or not : for obvious reasons
that would never be accepted in any court of law
There is a better one : juries that are composed of
psychologists trained in body language techniques as
they too like many women pre disposed to ascertaining
if someone is not being truthful : do not unfortunately see
this idea ever taking off : but if it did there would be a lot of
guilty going to jail : that is an absolute given no doubt about it
