For Black History Month

And I dont like people getting too close to it. there is a reason why that hostory month was created. And yes, as far as I am concerned there should also be "white history month" as well.

Why should it be a specific month for different coloured people? It should be called HUMAN history and it should be done YEAR ROUND. Not one month for the white guy, one month for the yellow guy, one month for the brown guy.

It is impossible to devote a week or day to every group in order to obtain "fairness". It simply can't be done. There are too many groups.

The way we handled history in VA was to do a year of American history, specifically, and then world history the next year. There was plenty of room to learn about other cultures properly and how they interacted with our own. Unfortunately, the SOL's and other standardized testing has bastardized our school system to the point that teacher's can't teach outside of the bullshitty "standards" that a few previous administrations deemed necessary - standards designed not to elevate the education of children, but to ensure the numbers rolled in that children passed.

I was able to opt out of 4 exams with a perfect 100% because I passed my standardized tests in those subjects, and let me tell you...they were no struggle, and I hardly count myself the smartest one in the class. What I am is very very good at taking multiple choice tests, because that's what they teach you how to do. They don't teach you to think critically.

Not to mention you support the removal of civil rights legislation, support the freedom to hang "whites only" signs up (oh yeah, you would also allow blacks to hang up "no whites"...are you not merciful?) and would gladly support bringing out the dogs and fire hoses against those blacks who would eat in a whites only restaurant "depending on how violent they are"...are you not merciful? Property is godlike to you, unless of course it is the womans womb. Then it is the babies property, and not the mothers. So black history month is wrong, but greek history month gets your approval.

Really? Where did I say that ONLY in that month should ONLY the history of blacks be studyied, and for the rest of the year no black people will be studied?

I suggested that the months are about FOCUSING on certian subjects, which is EXACTLY what black history month currently does. They dont ignore blacks for the rest of the year.

So what is wrong with having focus months? Do you know how much schools tried to ignore blacks in history here in America?

There are SO MANY history months out there... but nobody really complains about them. Nope... the most commonly complained about history month out there is BLACK history month.

HOLY SHIT!!! White people have TONS of history months! March is Irish American month. April is Scottish american month. June is white history month. July is French American month. September is German month. October is Italian month. ..so, depending on what you considered "white", you have to admit you have at least ONE history month in June. Do you consider Germans white? Now white people have 2 months: June and September. In total I count 6 months that can be figured as "white" history months. If the white people actually DID care about a history month for whites, then why are they unaware of this fact?

I will tell you why: because they DONT give a shit about a certain month for whites. What they do care about is that BLACKS get marginalized again.

I have nothing against leo other than he didnt make a google search on it. There has been a greek history month for many many years now. Nor did I consider it a joke nor did it even look like a joke. It looked like an honest request to me.

My problem is Tiberius and his sneakiness. He opposes black history month, but thumbs up a greek history month. Gee, why does he oppose BLACK history month, but likes a greek history month? Why does tiberius support people being able to have "whites only" signs on their business?

No, Im not ignoring you...just kinda busy typing. Im sure the vast majority of people dont give a shit about history months.

My point was this:

A - Certain white people complain about black history month
B - They bring up "why cant there be a white history month?"
C - From their argument of ignorance they demand black history month be shut down.
D - if they really gave a shit about a white history month they would have researched and found that half of the year is devoted for whites.

So...why do they complain about teaching black history? They dont complain about asian-pacific month. they dont complan about German month.
