Prayer is nothing more than silencing your mind to talk to yourself. Nothing Woo woo about it. Same with meditation. I have many books I have written, filled with conversations with myself. I found them helpful.

You should. There are always those dissatisfied with their own personal mythologies, and shopping for an opportunity to buy into another's. Why shouldn't you be the vendor? Speaking of vendors and vending machines. Perhaps prayer wasn't meant as such, but the vendor in question set a bad example by dispensing miracles and mana in response to prayers in the first place. Limited run engagement?

Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell
