What does the Bible say about gambling?

This is what the bible says about gambling!

I used to have to travel 3 hours to go to Atlantic City New Jersey, but now there is a casino only 20 minutes away which I can play cards at obsessively (if I choose to). I can also play online of course too. I am pretty good at poker but I don't know when to stop. I almost always leave empty handed. The Bible SHOULD say something about the dangers of gambling but it doesn't. The bible is very bad literature anyway, so who gives a shit right? I know that a deck af cards has alot of "satanic" symbolism and alot of history concerning witchcraft and puritanical hedonism, but whatever, it is probably just a game of chance and probabilty, not fate. I am a pro poker player. Thats why I asked this question. When I lost my job in the bank in 2008 I began playing and ended up never going back to a regular job. Where I live there a lot of young Jews who frequent casinos and blow off loads of cash. I don't know that cards have any satanic symbolism. I know that there is some similarity to Tarot cards but weren't the suits just meant to represent the clergy, aristocracy, merchants and army originally?
Thank you kindly, this sort of stuff is the number one reason why I love these forums so much. I'd never thought to ask where playing cards come from, but now I absolutely have to know.....Imma start here http://www.wopc.co.uk/history/index.html and see where it takes me.

Gambling is not mentioned in the Bible, however indirectly it is looked at as sinful because it is an irresponsible way of dealing with money, it takes many losers to produce a winner. The Bible does state that a man be foolish in being irresponsible with his money, and most anything called foolish in scriptures is sinful.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Being foolish is a sin....man, talk about blanket legislation? Maybe god should have created less foolish creatures?

Appearently no other casino is nearly croaked enough. Does that mean if you win you're not sinning then as you're not being foolish in that case? The very idea stems from human imagination, along with the fear of going into oblivion.

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity. Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist. You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.
