You dont listen do you. Well anyways, proof of God is not the topic right now it's whether the bible condones human sacrifice... Again.

Can say the same for you chippy...you don't even READ your "babble"

The 'bible' does condone human sacrifice over and over and over again..culminating in your Jeebus.

Don't you READ??

Yes I do. I read the bible more than you do. I've explained every piece of "evidence" thrown at me. You have presented an empty claim with no value but if you wish to support it with evidence (preferably something I haven't refuted on this thread) then your claim will hold the value of that evidence. So please, put some value in your words before you claim to disagree.
Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war's desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Honestly do you read? I already pointed out that's exicution not human sacrifice. And I've already pointed out passages where the bible FORBIDS human sacrifice.

No. He was not. Many times no. Look up mosaic law to see how they ACTUALLY made a sacrifice. It's not even close to the ROMAN crusifiction method of EXICUTION.

Looks like a human sacrifice to me, qualifies in every way as a human sacrifice by any definition of the word...except, of course, for some special definition I'm sure that you would like to beg for. Denied.

Do you accept this definition?

Quote: The offering of a human life TO a deity.

By that definition he was not a human sacrifice. He was killed for a crime accused by the Jews.

No, that's fine, I accept this definition. Jesus was not offered to a deity as a scapegoat or payment for our sins, ergo was not a human sacrifice. Did you have anything else to add?

But Chipan, according to the bible, wasn't it God's intention to become man in the form of Jesus? If God willingly allows his son (himself?) to die for the purpose of atoning for the sins of all mankind (I know it sounds crazy), then didn't God sacrifice his son Jesus (in order to satisfy Himself that humans were worthy of forgiveness)?

In battle if one soldier jumps on a grenade to save his fellow soldiers it would be accurate to say he sacrificed himself. Of course it was the enemy's weapon that actually killed him, but it was the soldier himself who accepted death. In that sense Jesus too was a sacrifice.

Of course sacrificing stuff to the gods was pretty popular back then. But I don't think anyone is saying Jesus was ritually offered up to God by the Jews or the Romans. It was God Himself who sacrificed His son/self in order to convince Himself to cut mankind a break. Again, I know it sounds crazy but that's why I don't like reading the bible.
