@fr0d0: My MacBook is almost 2.5 years old and I still love it. The only reason I'm upgrading this year is because AppleCare runs out after 3 years. I also still have an iPad 1.

I didn't argue they had greater longevity. I hold they have the same longevity. Yes, Windows XP is still supported, but an upgrade to to the next version of OS X costs $30, rather than Microsoft's extortionate amount. There is no reason for anyone to still be using the original version of Mac OS X (10.0 Cheetah) when it costs so little to upgrade.

I never said Mac was better at playing some games. I said that a lot of new games are supported, which is true. I don't see why we should discount indie games either.

Lol because why would you want an iPhone port on your computer when PC is playing a new blockbuster title?
I'm not saying Mac is shit, but as a gamer it doesn't make since. I'd hate wondering if a game I had been waiting for was going to be deved for Mac...
You're right in saying that it will catch up eventually an most big companies like Blizzard and Valve will support both of the bat now. Slightly smaller firms or groups that don't care will continue to ignore Mac though...

The argument for indie games:
I spent £45 on Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, and I played it for about 10 hours.
I spent £5 on VVVVVV and played it for weeks...religiously.
Indie games: Better, cheaper, and work on far more platforms.
