The reasons are pretty clearly bigotry based, but he could be a white president and it would be equally as heinous.

They have a right to free speech, which I respect, but they're foolish for expressing themselves this way. You don't insinuate bodily harm toward the president. We've had too many tragedies to speak of, and it's a very touchy subject for Americans. I don't love George W. Bush, but I would be just as distraught as the people who did love him, should something terrible happen. The fact that he's black can't be ignored in this situation, sadly. That was the most popular way to execute "colored folks", and most of the time it was used to execute them for no good fucking reason. Much like the fucks in Florida are passively-aggressively suggesting.

I expect too much, I guess. I expect just a little bit of common sense. Slavery ended a long ass time ago, and if it's not obvious to people by now how being a loudmouthed shithead only breeds violence and hatred, they should maybe take a look back in their book. It's supposedly the opposite of every word their alleged savior spoke.

if you live anywhere as a black person in america, you will get to see it daily. you'll likely never get "evidence" (the apparent holy grail here, haha) on this story, that the people were racist and you know that already before you asked. but i and a lot of people here seem to notice it as well.

quick aside - see, when you spend decades and decades honing the skill, you get quite good at disguising it. here, it was quite obvious. and that's in most of america btw, the "dirty souf" is an entirely different beast. they're so blatant down there that a lot of the blacks i know who live there have an inherent slave mentality, especially the older ones. i'll be 41 soon, old to some, not so much to others, but i make the cut to the side of younger folks that can just get over hard racism because i was never sprayed with a fireman's hose or attacked by police dogs - or witnessed anyone being hanged. they still do that kind of stuff down there even today.

that slave mentality is a very weird phenomena to see in person. generalization: old black people HATE white people but not actively, so when you see them together, the black person is all smiles and overly polite. and what's weird is that, if you've dealt with and seen what those older blacks have, you can understand why some have chosen to just smile it away. there's some painful shit involved mentally, physically, emotionally and socially and some have surmised that it's best to brush off the memories than let the stress kill them.
