This is an epic intro thread!
Welcome!
I am quite inclined to agree with you Insanity x, this has turned into a rather fun intro thread. Never happened to me before. To the rest of you guys that have replied in the past few minutes, thank you, Annik I will keep that in mind and try to pop into the chat sometime soon. Paul the human, I do feel quite special sir, thank you for taking the time to comment on my lowly thread. And Cthulhu Dreaming, you are most likely right. Cthulhu and in fact most of the writings of Lovecraft are awesome and have a cult following of sorts. And now that I mentioned cult followings I get the sudden urge to watch The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Hmm. I think I just found my evenings entertainment.

I still remember the first time I went to a live showing of this in the sister city to the small city I grew up in out in West Texas. My first boyfriend took me, he was literally terrified of this movie for some reason, but still as a Halloween gift he took me. It was utterly amazing to say the least. He even bought me the bag of props. It was so much damn fun.

I didn't know him very well at the time. After the date, I still didn't know him very well. I decided then that movie dates as a first date are lame. Our second date was an all-day boat trip, which was really cool. Both our parents where there, too... so it was mostly really awkward. We weren't an item for very long, lol. It got worse once our whole table started singing along and playing along. But oh well. As far as first date I have to agree. Movies are not a great idea unless the entire reason for the date is a hook-up, seeing as you will learn next to nothing at all about the person. I much prefer a nice dinner date. But all that is behind me now anyway, seeing as I'm engaged. I just thought of something by the way. I hope I am not violating any rule of any kind by continuing to feed my own intro thread and making it continue to grow. If I am someone please let me know.

I don't believe so. : o
My first date with my fiance was an "adventure date" where we just met up and drove around with no plan. I'd never had so much fun.
Welcome to the forums, from one Trekkie to another.
Hope to see you around! 42
Thanks Insanity x, I already read over them myself and couldn't find anything. I was hoping not because frankly this thread has been a lot of fun.
Aleialoura, many thanks for the welcome, and I hope to see you around as well. Live long and prosper. Annik, that sounds like an amazing time. I have had many dates like that with my partner. We both love Subaru so a lot of our adventure dates have been just offroading at parks and lakes and stuff in the area. It's always so much fun to just do something spontaneous together and see what happens.
