What do you mean what is this "he" bullshit? The question is clearly referring to the Abrahamic god, which is the only god referred to as god with a capital G. It is clearly established that that particular god is masculine. Fairy tale or not, it is their fairy tale and it is their masculine god. Your god might be female. Plenty of gods are, but that god is not. Acting all incredulous about it is like freaking out about Gandalf being referred to as he. In the damn book, he is a he. You can't change that because the book is from whence he sprang. I never understood that silliness about that particular god's gender. We don't question whether Aphrodite was a she.

From the outside, it looks like Christians use the word belief in a way unconnected to any reasons to think a thing true. It seems much more related to "wishing" something true, than to being convinced of its truth for valid/conclusive reasons.

Only once. He (priest) couldn't handle the consequence. I had to roam across three counties to find an indifferent cow that was able to milk me. I was only 13 at the time.

After this, he would notice me in the congregation. He set land speed records for the quickest homily. It all worked out, except for the cow...she was left unsatisfied.

This is my answer, I know God exist, because you do not you think no one else should be able to, no matter how they come to believe, so it will do no good to explain to you how I know, you will deny my justification and claim you're right. I'm sorry you can not see the truth of God, if it were in my power to make you believe I would, I would not give you a choice the way God does, guess that's one reason I could never be God.

This is my answer, I know God exist, because you do not you think no one else should be able to, no matter how they come to believe, so it will do no good to explain to you how I know, you will deny my justification and claim you're right. Have you looked into Mormonism? It may not be too late to get your shot at being god if you can make that work.

Actually I don't know any such thing. I don't believe any gods exist but I would never say I know it. (Mostly because .. I don't.) I'm just as curious how gnostic atheists can know what they claim to know as I am how you are able know that He does exist. I suspect it comes down to differences in our standards for knowing, though I find it easier to believe you know gods exist than that any atheist could know they don't. Direct revelation is a more sensible pathway for theists than for atheists. That doesn't mean what you may know is transferable. In the absence of my own direct revelation, I'm not inclined to accept the testimony of those who claim to have experienced what I have not. You may tell your god he knows where to find me if he wants another believer.

You mean besides a) implying that atheism/agnosticism is relative to the Abrahamanic god(s) alone, b) that either I'm an atheist (false) or the Dawkins scale is incomplete ("Let us, then, take the idea of a spectrum of probabilities seriously, and place human judgements about the existence of God along it, between two extremes of opposite certainty"), or c) it shows an inordinate amount of stupidity in a book criticizing others for their failings.

Also, "I'd be surprised to meet many people in category 7, but I include it for symmetry with category 1, which is well populated." (i.e. If you aren't on the spectrum towards 7 then you are on the spectrum towards 1, and vice-versa — a clear error. If he'd used different labels than "atheist" or "agnostic" one might equivocate, but he didn't.
