Yes. Do yours?

There you go, precious. Note the word "dictate."

FYI, you forgot the word "if" when you were quoting me. I wasn't saying you said that. I had asked if that was the case and you have been dodging for nearly two pages.

I didnt forget the word ''if''. It's redundant.

''If you do'' is conditional to my response ''no I dont''.

Religion does dictate how I vote.

How on earth does that logically (by necessary inference) equate to Vote 1 Adolph Hitler?

Suppose theres only two candidates and both are atheists but only one is pro-abortion.

Religion would still dictate to me which one I chose.

It's OK
I dont need anyone to interpret for me.
Thanks anyway. Cheers!

Allow me to simplify this, since you just don't seem to be able to grasp what I am saying and that is giving you the benefit of the doubt.

There are two candidates. One is an atheist who may or may not have bad policies. The second is a Christian with definite aspirations to be a dictator. Who do you vote for? Obviously, you wanted to cling to the Nazi thing when the obvious hypothetical was an atheist with no experience versus a Christian who is a dickhead. Now, if you can manage, explain how you would vote. Assume both have the same views on abortion, gay marriage and all of that other bullshit that Christians think is important.

Here's another one for you, two atheists, both pro-choice.

Accidental kudos happen. To be honest, I thought they were "holy shit that is so ridiculous that I am giving him kudos" kudos. I do that sometimes, myself.

What?

You are actually conceding that its NOT as simple as...
Hitler was a theist ---> theism is better than atheism ---> Vote Hitler (the anti-Christian anti-Jewish mass murderer)

RE: Assault On Free Speech
My lack of religious beliefs has no effect on for whom vote. That is because the last time I voted FOR a person or party was in 1975.

Since that time, I have always voted against the bigger shower of incompetents on offer. Up until the last election, the biggest shower has always been the conservatives. However, the biggest shower of all is "Family First", a far right minor party. It is a coincidence it was founded and is run by one our most appalling happy clappy churches.

...uh, not every quotation needs to have permission. If you, say, admit to a crime, I can report that to the cops. It doesn't seem like you know the extent of intellectual property law (or privacy law, which might be applicable). Have you heard of the fair use doctrine?

Quote:You said you vote based on a person's religious views. If I, an atheist, ran against Hitler, a Christian, you would thus vote for Hitler, unless of course you like to get naughty and vote against your religious views. Either way, it is a weak move that likely lacks observation and deduction. I mean, why bother, if you only need to know one thing about your candidate?

Just because you vote based on a single issue doesn't mean you lack observation and deduction. Perhaps after much observation and deduction, you've concluded that the best criteria to use is actually a single one.

In other words, godboy over there would vote for Fred Phelps before he voted for you.

This is what fucking pisses me off about politics and the way people vote. A politician's stance on god should have absolutely nothing to do with whether you should vote for him/her. What should matter is the politician's policies and the direction the politician plans to take the town/state/country.

Answer me this, if you were planning to vote for a candidate because you love everything he/she talks about doing, would you not vote for them simply because you found out they didn't believe in god?

Sure it matters, it shouldn't be the primary concern, but I'm not going to sit and tell you that it doesn't count against them when I vote, some religions more than others. Two otherwise equal candidates? The fact that one spends his time doing something I consider ridiculous, associating with and supporting a group which I consider a negative influence on the world (a lot of religions), not using his reason... that would tip my vote.

"absolutely nothing"? I disagree

What are trying to prove by using the Hitler hypothetical? Is it because that you and a few others have such a hateful bias against Christians and Conservatives that everyone of them you see through the distorted liberal looking glass is a Nazi? What if the hypothetical were between a 'Mother Teresa Christian' of a strong belief in God versus an atheist candidate? Both are equally experienced for the office....and just for argument's sake, let's say both are very close on policies except that one has a strong belief in God and the atheist candidate has no belief in God. How would you vote?
