It seems like it, but what we're talking about affects the vast majority of posts on this site, and how they appear. I think it's important to get it right.
I am so far behind in this thread, forgive any duplication.
Yes it does affect every post which is seen many times by many people. However, the change that results from improving (or perfecting) it is sufficiently small, has such an insignificant contribution to the overall appearance of posts (especially relativized wrt the delta in terms of signature improvement), contributes little to the main functions of each post which is where sharp corners and rough patches will be most intensely felt, that I still do think this is making the perfect be the enemy of the good. (And that's assuming - assuming - that the end result truly is an improvement along a metric which matters).

Yes. It's looked a bit odd the past few days, but looks decent now. I can tell what is and isn't a sig

Two of my favorite words, both with respect to computer science and human behavior, 'thrashing' and 'deadlock'. (Why am I reminded of the recent proof of the ABC conjecture?)

I only ever understand about 20% of your posts Apo, I'm not sure if it's because I'm dumb, or whether you're off on wide tangents.

At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

I like reading them just for that reason, Napo. I don't know if I'm going to get a deep, interesting view into her Tao/Hindu-ism or if I'm going to get "Cockworthy Hannah".
