Great idea for a thread. I became disenchanted with music threads when I started hosting my own Youtube videos, and found that many people were posting, but almost no one was listening. This brings that 'chantment back again. This makes other people's music exciting.
There's a suggested rule change after my video. Ignore if you feel like ignoring (to everyone, not nur Gilgamesh).
I give Bonammassa's
Dislocated Boy 5/10 points. Joe, as usual, hits everything on the nines. And it's got body. But it reminds me too much of
The Ballad Of John Henry to get any more than superficial acknowledgement. Ballad was a heart breaker. This is just testosterone drama queen.
This is not the greatest song of theirs, but it's what I have on endless repeat on my mp3 player currently.

The suggested rule change is to allow, in addition to posting the review of someone else's music above you, after everything else in your post, be allowed to add ratings for even earlier posted music. I adore that Tism track.
Shark jumping in advance of take home pay. Xandria. The music. The musical equivalent of a Draco in leather pants or Too Absurd To Fail. +2 points for that. Reminds me of some of Nightwish, but where Nightwish was epic, Xandria is just lugubrious. I've heard these same notes, in the same forms, and done so much better before this. I give it a 4/10. But then, I thought the same of the first Puffy Amiyumi CD I bought, and now I'm their biggest fan.
