Still, I can't help but hope Merl stays along and has a showdown with Rick. There have to be some hard feelings for Merl in that he still blames Rick for cuffing him to the roof in season 1 but Rick, on the other hand, is going to feel tremendously guilty over that (although, a lot less guilty after seeing the comparitive luxury Merl has been living in since then).

Nice to have someone who keeps those who are to lazy to read the comics informed

thank you.

Yeah, well, I love the comic but I'm too poor/cheap to buy them so the challenge is to find places where I can read them online. What can I say? I'd download a car or food if I could.

RE: The Walking Dead
First of all - this show continues to kick ass!

Second - these are my own baseless guesses about the second half of season three:

Daryl will be forced to kill his own brother.
Rick will continue to see more dead team members, including his wife and Dale.
Glen will become a vengeful killing machine and likely hold a misplaced grudge against Daryl.
The Governor will hold Andrea prisoner for leverage.
All of the people with Tyrese will be killed off - and soon.
Most survivors STILL won't figure out that most southern American homes have ample guns stashed away in them. [Image: facepalm.gif]
Michonne will never figure out that you don't bring a knife to a gunfight.
Carol's hair will somehow continue not to grow.
Andrea will always be a fucking idiot.

...or maybe Daryl and his brother will be forced by the Governor to fight against a horde of captured zombies, similar to the display that was put on in a previous episode...Also, how does Daryl escape, (if he does escape and survives to finish out the next season), will Rick return to save him, or is this the end of Daryl?
Isn't Rick's wife already dead, shot by their own son as a mercy killing after having a c-section with a pocket knife, and wasn't her dead body eaten by a zombie?
I don't think Glen will become vengeful or grudging if Daryl kills his own brother...but I can see Glen becoming a grudging and vengeful killing machine if somehow Daryl's brother is captured and locked up in the prison by Rick's group.
I can see the Governor holding Andrea prisoner for leverage, but I can also see Andrea struggling with her loyalties between the Governor and Rick's group.
Most survivors have already figured out that the noise of gunfire attracts more zombies...that's why they prefer relying on baseball bats, crowbars, and other blunt instruments to bash in the skulls of the zombies. It's quieter...they only use guns when they absolutely have to.
You're right. Carol's hair will never grow out. I saw her and Andrea in Stephen King's, 'The Mist', which is a few years old. Carols hair was just as short in that one too.
...and Andrea will continue to be an idiot.

Really? You didn't catch that I wrote the word dead team members???? I was referencing the fact that he saw Shane with a beard in that last episode. You don't understand what I'm saying??

He saw Shane. Shane is dead. "MORE DEAD team members." I was obviously referencing Rick's psychosis.

Yes Captain Obvious, they established this fact in the very first episode. I was addressing two obvious oversights with my statement:
1. This new group (Tyrese's group) had NO firearms, not even one. Even Rick's group, who try to kill in silence as much as possible, would never go anywhere without their guns.
2. In the sneak peak promos for the return of the show in February it clearly showed some of the new visitors plotting to steal the guns from Carl and Carol. Again, this would be unnecessary, as I stated, most every home in the southern United States has at the very least one firearm in it. The writers have made use of an "absence of guns" that just simply would not exist. There are literally hundreds of millions of guns in this country. I think it's a cop-out by the writers - as if they can't find a better way to create hostile drama between the living than to kill each other over firearms that they are going to attempt to not use.

Really?

When I was 6 I moved from the Chicago area to Oklahoma and I'd certainly think Oklahoma could easily qualify as 'southern United States.' I lived in Oklahoma until I was 30 and then moved to Texas (which certainly qualifies as 'southern United States'). That being said, the first time I spent the night in a house with a firearm was when I was 31 (and even then, it was because I happened to be dating a security guard). The idea that everyone in the south has a gun is a stereotype and honestly isn't true at all. You'd be surprised how many southerners don't use guns.

Ok... Went from walking dead to southerners, watched how they made the story completely stupid on the T.V. show and decided that old saying the books is always better is absolutely true.

I'd be very surprised ... since I've lived in every area of this country including the deep south and EVERYONE I personally know has a gun.

Even those who don't would not be a factor. 350,000,000 people in the country and we have a gun for every one of them.

I remember Shane began going crazy shortly before he changed and it was attributed to him being infected....now Rick is becoming psychotic and delusional. I wonder if the virus could be working on him as well, or if his emerging psychosis is due to the stress of tragedies, conflicts and his leadership responsibilities...

RE: The Walking Dead
I have to wait two fucking months for the greatest show currently in existence to continue.
...and even then, I will only get 4 or 5 more episodes before it goes away for another 7 damn months!
