RE: The Walking Dead
I bought the blue ray of the second season last week and watched all the deleted scenes.

deleted scene1:

It seems like they cut out an entire episode, or the first episode of season 2 was mean to be alot longer.

They drive to a hospital in which they search for supplies and encounter a big group of walkers, after that encounter they hardly make it out of the hospital but in the end do manage.
They then talk about what to do next, and come to the conclusion that they should go to the group in the old peoples home.
At arrival it seems as if the home had been overrun by walkers, who are in the jard eating some of the folks, they shoot all the walkers in a awsomely filmed and cut sequence and then clear the building.
They then find out that the home wasn`t overrun by walkers. All the people were shot in the head execution style and all the supplies and guns have been take.
After coming to that conclusion they sit together and talk about what to do next. They reach the conclusion that they should head to fort bening.
Whilest they still are under the shock from the realisation that walkers aren`t the only possible threat they could encounter out there.

I am angry that they cut that scene or episode out. If you watch the first episode of season 2 after watching that deleted scene, you realise that they drive away from that home and not from the cdc. They could have kept it in since it prepares the viewer for the encounter with the governers group and their ruthless raids, aswell as it explains in a better way what happened to Merl and the viewer knows what happened to the group of people in that home.

deleted scene 2:

Shows a long shot of the group after the first encounter with a herd and how they wait for Rick to return with Sophia.
When he returns without her and sees that Sophia didn`t come back on her own Carol has a nervous breakdown and Rick almoust burst out in tears (Andrew Lincoln is an awsome actor).

deleted scene 3:

Shows a worried Carol waiting at the highway for Sophia until deep into the night (annoying shot, which makes Carol a even more annoying character)

deleted scene 4:

Shows Otis and Shane regruping at the highschool after they were seperated, they recount how much ammo they have left and continue walking.

deleted scene 5:

Shows Otis and Shane hiding at a building near the highschool and talking about how they should escape, Otis (seeming to be to stupid to make a plan) simply jumps up and walks into the direction of the car whilest Shane follows him.

deleted scene 6:

Dale hides from the group on the highway in a car, during the night and attempts to lights a cigaret, whilest trying to find the cigaret lighter in the car he switches on the cars radio, where a random person broadcasts himself reading passages from the bible and preaching. The preacher says that "science is a afront to god and the holy kingdom", whereupon Dale mutters "Science, like the microphone your sticking your face into?". The prachers apocalyptic preaching annoys Dale who lights his cigaret and tries to find another channel, he failes and then turns of the radio, being annoyed by the preaching he verbaly attacks the radio as if it was a person, calling him a douchbag and a pervert, after which he throws away the cigaret and says "God talked to me aswell, he told me: Dale if you ever find that shitface on the radio shove his mike up his ass for me! His will, will be done."
He then returns to the rest of the group.

deleted scene 7:

At the fence, whilest Rick puts up bottles Shane explains to them that when fireing a weapon one needs to have a good reason to do so.
He then tells Carl to shoot at a bottle, who misses it but still is aplauded since he almoust hit it.
They then give everyone 3 rounds and tell them to start practicing.

deleted scene 8:

Rick has a daydream in which he sees himself running arround with his shot son and with Sophia, whilest he hears Sophias voice in the background muttering "Please don leave me" whilest the daydream flashes to the scene in which he shoots the "walker" Sophia, without us seeing Sophia. His wife then kisses him and asks "Hey where did you go?" he tells her that he`s still here and continues eating.
The camera moves into the forground where we see Glen thinking about telling the group about the barn.
(Weird scene, since it uses the shot of Rick shooting Sophia without us knowing that she is in the barn, although the scene would have been in the same episode in which they "clear" the barn)

deleted scene 9:

We see Rick and Shane walking arround the barn asssessing and looking if it is "secure". One sees the potential for a future conflict between Rick and Shane, as Shane almoust rips some planks out of the barn whilest Rick tells him that he`s going to talk with Hershel.

deleted scene 10:

we see Deryl at a pond casualy havin his feet in the water, he suddently sees a "Cherokee rose" after which he jumps up and runs away.

deleted scene 11:

Hershel makes clear to Rick that at his farm it`s his rules, they then arrive at the swamp where the two walkers are stuck in the mud. Where he askes Rick again if he can follow his rules.

deleted scene 12:

We see Hershel as he watches the group putting the bodies (after the barn was cleared) on the blue truck from his ranch. He starts crying and closes the front dor of the ranch.

Dale enters the ranch after the barn has been "cleared" obviously upset about the kids he askes Lori how Beth and Carl are doing. He then tells Lori that Carol isn`t in a good shape.

deleted scene 13:

Carl asks Deryl if he can teach him how to use the crossbow, Deryl sais he should stick to guns since they require "less skill" and then tells him to go and annoy his dad.
Carol hears this and tells him, that only because he cant hit on her sometimes he doesn`t need to hit on a kid. They have an argument in which Carol tells him that he shouldn`t pretend as if he didn`t care.

deleted scene 14:

Maggi lookas at her highschool year book with Glenn where she finds a pic of Randall, she says that she never noticed him. After seing some of Randalls pictures Glenn says that he too use to be a "Geek" in highschool, so she wouldn`t have noticed him aswell.

deleted scene 15:

Dale tries to talk Lori into supporting him in preventing Rick and Shane from killing Randall.

deleted scene 16:

Glenn asks Maggie if he can sleep in her room.

deleted scene 17:

Beth accuses Lori for preventing her from saving Patricia, Lori counters that she would have died aswell after which Beth starts crying.

deleted scene 18:

A small addition in which we see my favorite character "black ninja" stabbing her sword into the head of the walker she just decapitated (the one who had attacked Andrea).

so I might post some other "specials" whilest waiting for the end of the season break.

RE: The Walking Dead
Ok, is this a giant hole in the plot or is it just me?

The end of season 2, the group was driven out of Hershel's farm. Several months seem to pass between the end of season 2 and the beginning of season 3 (indicated by Lori's pregnancy progresing from 'can't even tell' to 'about to deliver'). And they supposedly spent that time jumping from one place to the next, not able to stay at any of them long before they had to run from walkers. Yet, during that time, it also seems that nothing noteworthy happened to the group and nobody died. Then, all of a sudden, they get into a secure location, the prison, and T-Dog and Lori both die and Hershel loses his leg. How are they supposed to go all those months without anything happening, but as soon as they set foot on secure territory, they're dropping like flies?

RE: The Walking Dead
Maybe they just drove arround in circles or were prohibited from going to far by herds.

I think they mentioned the herds in the first episode of season 3 and how they prohibit them from manovering the way they wanted to.
