They stop being humans and they just represent the motion of the act. It's beautiful. The land art is really cool, too, but I wish it were more site-specific (like how the snow has to be in a snowy place, but the woods ones seem much more plain and boring).


Summer, between this thread and Rayaan's art game, I feel cultured as shit.

What I liked best about it is that when humans move at human pace, it's harder to see the forms they're representing. With the photography, you get to see all those shapes without having to remember it.

They should make a film from the photos in such a way that captures some of the abstractness of the photos. Plus, I want to see these folks naked. Lol

I'm quite taken with the sculptures of British artist Anna Gillespie. She uses stone, bronze, acorn cups, tree bark and other materials to create striking images of human frailty. She explained why she makes heavy use of unusual natural materials:

Even speaking of 'nature' as something distinct from the human race suggests an artificial separation. We are all part of the natural world. Collecting beech nuts and acorns for sculptures, made me realise that every one is the same and yet different...just like us. Nature is so prolific.

Ive just realised i dont know how to do 2 things, 1 delete my own posts 2 post pictures from websites

What you do it right click the picture, click 'Copy image location' then when you post use these [ img] [ /img] and if the pic is big [ imgfit] [ /imgfit] without the spaces. And then paste the image location between the two tags. PM me if you still have problems
