I smile the best only when taken by surprise or when I find something funny. Other than that, like when I smile for a picture, I just feel different and awkward, for some reason.
You might think this is weird, but other people have this problem, too. Oh well. 
I have a nephew who puts on the most adorable grimace when you ask him to smile for pictures. His natural smile is far more mischievous.

Plus, there are many guns much better than a twitchy Glock.

Glocks are actually very good beginner guns. They are accurate and reliable. I would suggest them to anyone learning how to shoot or who has shitty aim.
I'd be hesitant to hand a gun with only internal safety to a newbie, but it can stand being cleaned badly. It's also light and doesn't recoil much. There are plenty of reports of the guns jamming/having feeding issues, though.
