I'm American and I can't buy beer on Sunday from my local grocer on Sunday. I can go to the next town and buy beer on Sunday, this eliminates the 'American' aspect. Hmmmm, I wonder what influence is at work then? The answer starts with a 'C'.
Cunt? Christian? Sounds the same to me.

Are you asserting that, like the desire for sex, we all have the desire to rape, pillage and murder? If this is your argument, then it goes without saying it's also an admission that you have these desires, thus my question to you is a simple one - how do you, TEGH, overcome your desires to rape, pillage and murder?
No, I'm not. And even if I did, how I might over come that is irrelevant.
My argument is that some individuals for whatever reasons may have the propensity to develop a desire to rape and murder. If said individuals also happen to be fundamentalist Christians, they may be more inclined to develop and act upon that desire than they would if they were more liberal because fundamentalist Christians lack an outside-of-marriage sexual ethics system.
You should give proof of this statement, I would think that more rapists are not Christians than are Christians. The priest you mentioned were being Christian, they were not a Christian, people play at Christianity all the time, it doesn't mean they are Christians.
Yes, Christians make mistakes (sin) but they are taught to overcome, by allowing Christ to be their guide, instead of those things that drive most humans to bad behavior.

So by your own quote I would say that you agree that christianity is at fault. Since their teaching methods of "overcoming bad behaviour" fail?

That has to be the second most stupid argument I have ever heard...

Your "question" was your argument for your assertion. I wouldn't expect you to know this though.

No, all I said was that Christians are not perfect. You say that Christians fail, I see them change. Sin is the action upon the driving force what ever it may be, I'm saying that Christians allowing Christ to guide them will not act upon the driving force.

You have the wrong driving force then.

No..... I saw you assert that Christian ™ "are taught to overcome, by allowing Christ to be their guide, instead of those things that drive most humans to bad behavior."
Since this "bad behaviour" is also perpetrated by Christians™ would you not also agree that this system of Christianity ™ is to blame in part for the ongoing bad behaviour?

No, Christianity is walking with God, it is a spiritual act that is to be reflected in the here and now. You are confusing the law with a relationship with Christ. So in actuality it is the lack of a walk with Christ, I'm not saying it's a complete lack, it is the temporary non Christian action of a Christian that involves a Christian in bad behavior. We screw up and sometimes royally, and we are to return to a better walk with God, this begins with repentance.

I try to allow Christ to be my driving force, so to speak, I'm not always successful, so repentance on my part helps to restore my walk with Him.
