Saerules, water is one of the essential nutrients that people should have every day. But people should not have anything in excess having to much of food, water, alcohol, smoking. Is generally bad for your health. And a normal healty body should drink 8 glasses of water a day.
No I have never thought about the dangers Dihydrogen Monixide, but from the link you posted it is a hoax.
Carbon monixide is far worse than Dihydrogen Monixide

Well, I'm glad to hear I don't suffer from it
Please give me a home where cloud buffalo roam
Where the dear and the strangers can play
Where sometimes is heard a discouraging word
But the skies are not stormy all day

from wiki:
Quote:A drinking glass, or simply glass, is a drinking vessel, usually made from glass or plastic. Glasses are often clear, but sometimes are colored, or printed or etched with decorations. Compared with a cup, a glass stands taller without a handle and usually holds more liquid.

padraic said:"Apparently Jesus' three hours was not all that unusual.-----that's still a staggering length of time to be in that much agony."
I was going to comment on that padraic as well. Jesus was spared the agony of days baking in the hot sun by dying in just three hours. As I stated before; Christians love to point out how much he suffered on the cross when there have been countless people that make his sufferings pale in comparison.

A long suffering death that happened to many people is cherry picked by a group of ideologues to suit their own purposes? Say it ain't so!

@Saerules
It most certainly is possible to drink too much water; it destroys the body's electrolytic balance.
Quote:Water-electrolyte imbalance
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Electrolytes play a vital role in maintaining homeostasis within the body. They help to regulate myocardial and neurological function, fluid balance, oxygen delivery, acid-base balance and much more. Electrolyte imbalances can develop by the following mechanisms: excessive ingestion; diminished elimination of an electrolyte; diminished ingestion or excessive elimination of an electrolyte. The most common cause of electrolyte disturbances is renal failure.
The most serious electrolyte disturbances involve abnormalities in the levels of sodium, potassium, and/or calcium. Other electrolyte imbalances are less common, and often occur in conjunction with major electrolyte changes. Chronic laxative abuse or severe diarrhea or vomiting can lead to electrolyte disturbances along with dehydration. People suffering from bulimia or anorexia are at especially high risk for an electrolyte imbalance.

PS there is no such thing as a 'safe level' of cigarette smoking; only degrees of harm.

I agree with you Synakaon, many others throughout history have suffered tons more than Christ and his paltry three hours of agony that has been shared by many others who have lasted even days baking in the hot sun. The victims of the church itself have suffered more than Christ such as those that died in the various inquisitions, witch hunts, and crusades, hell even some of the so called church martyrs have suffered more painful and horrible deaths than their savior. And considering that there is no evidence of Christ crucifixion outside the bible, and even those tales are self contradictory, that leads me to believe that it was a work of fiction.
