Correction:
Jamie: I am a christian so I know how all things work without ever knowing how anything works.
Half of everyone else: For your information, here is how things work
Other half: Can't be. Even christians ought to know at least something about how things work before thinking they know how all things work.

I was talking to Luckie about it earlier this morning, and she was pretty convinced the OP was sincere, based on the fact that at one point in her own education all she had were those same strawmen and religiously motivated shards of misinformation to go off of. And she grew out of it.
Ask yourselves: do we really want to scare off a theist that would be this much fun?
While that thought crossed my mind think about how you would go about introducing yourself on a new forum looking for legitimate answers. Would it sound like jamie-russels or might it sound more like this -
Hello, I'm newbie. I'm hoping to discuss some topics here that perplex me. As background my ubringing is yadayada.
In one of my science classes my teacher said yadayada and this conflicts with what I learned in my Babtist Bible study. I'd like to hear what you have to say concerning x y z.
That might make me think she's legit, my money is that the OP is trolling-for-jeebus.

Well, even the most backwoods, inbred, uneducated idiot should know about water cycles, and that water isn't just used up and disappears forever. I mean, even idiots know that you have to go take a piss after drinking a lot of water.
It's kind of like claiming that if the earth was more than a few months old, all the rivers would have run dry by now.

Hey! They have universities in Alabama.
Of course, it helps if you can carry a football and weave baskets.
