But - the study has revealed that 25% of all employed in the German economy work for a minor wage. The most shocking revalation of the study is that 80% of those who work for such a minor wage have a apprenticeship or professional education which would actualy qualify them to have bigger wages.

Please nobody tell the GOP this. After wanking to this revelation, they'll be pushing even harder to remove the minimum wage.

This system would seem *fine* if the workers could have gotten a bit more of what they have actually given to the economy. No minimum wages, alright, but they should be given raises as a reward for their hard work and contribution to the economy. If not, the government should step in to protect the worker's rights.

In my opinion, the government should be actively involved in the issues of the working class by setting minimum wages, even if economic growth would slow down. Slower, but steady growth, in my opinion, is better than a faster and less stable growth.

That's what [i]should[/] happen, but it won't. You know as well as I do that business managers would cook the books a bit to show that each employee is contributing less than what they actually do. Not to mention that it would be overly complicated to base wages upon productivity. The easy way out is a minimum wage law, which while not perfect, is necessary.

Indeed, I do support a minimum wage. Here, we do have minimum wage.
It's applied differently though, to people who are under 18 and above 18.
