I would conceed that it is possible some of the stories about Jesus were about a real live flesh and blood person. What I would say is false is 1) Nativity scene birth and Herod's slaughter. These are mythilogical. 2) The Passion of the Christ. Likewise his crucifixon, last supper, betrayal, and resurrection are fictional. 3) miracles.
When you take away these aspects, it is possible this man could have existed. But could we recognize him as Jesus without those 3 aspects mentioned above? In the light of my own statements, it is possible the Jesus Tomb is authentic. Jesus would have been a somewhat prominent religious teacher from JERUSALEM. Perhaps even the great teacher of the DSS. While I claim this is possible, I haven't by any means tossed my hat in the ring. These are just questions for debate and further research.
I am not ready to conclude Jesus did not exist without knowing how you define "Jesus."
