Expelled Showing & Debate in London

Just wondering if anyone wanted to go to this: http://www.premier.org.uk/events/premier...elled.aspx

I was thinking we could make it a meetup in London (easier to get to than the last place). I was alerted to the event by Ed Turner (who joined us last time). The debate afterwards should be fun, and the movie is pretty hilarious to watch if you view it how it was meant to be watched...as a comedy.

What does everyone think?

I'll be free on that day and £5 isn't a great deal to spend. However, train fare is a bugger for that kinda distance

I wouldn't be able to get to it. I wish I could, though. Although I do think it's damned funny. Asking Richard Dawkins "What Gods don't you believe in?" only goes to show that you can graduate from Harvard Law School and prove yourself to be a complete idiot.

I only just watched Expelled in light of this thread, i got through about an hour, till Stein went off on his Nazi-Darwin rant - What an epic waste of time.

I also noticed (not surprisingly) the complete lack of positive evidence for intelligent design, their so called 'evidence' was little more than a strawman argument against evolution.

Loved how Stein made a point of trying to separate religion and science in the first 30 mins and then switched abruptly to calling out the relationship between Evolutionary theory and losing faith.

I just got an email about the AHS conference being scheduled for this day, so literally 5 minutes after I bought my ticket, I can't use it.

I'm gonna have to phone up and cancel it now :S Grrr...

Would love to go, but plane tickets from Louisiana to London are a bit much...lolol
