Blind faith and evolution
RE: Blind faith and evolution
You can do all those things here, indeed you already do, as long as they stay within the remit of our rules.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Usually blind faith is associated with religion but not always.
Here i am talking about some atheist.
Many atheist believe that by a strange and mysterious combination one born as a human out of nothing due to him-her and other born as plants, worms, insects or animals also out of nothing.
In this way there is no evolution of consciousness.
A worm with his primitive consciousness came in existence just for pure bad luck on the other hand a human being came in existence with his-her more developed consciousness just by good luck.
So where is the evolution of conscience that suppose to be build up as the life progress from lower to higher form of lives?
Is perhaps that we born as humans because humanity has developed for long time and we follow this wave of development?
So if this is true then we are not responsible for our development as the wave of collective progress moves us along anyway.
What a wishful thinking to believe that our consciousness is build up in just a lifetime thanks also to the progress that humans have done since human existence.
Sorry but the very science related to evolution that many believe in contradict this blind faith therefore anyone believing in blind chances has really nothing to do with evolution.Angel

I don't quite understand what you are saying. However evolution is an observation, so you don't have to believe it, you can see it. The first chapter of origin of species by Charles Darwin is about how domestic animals have changed over time as if to suit human needs, and he attempted to explain this amazing fact. So there is no faith needed to understand evolution. Are you different than your parents? I am. I evolved.

A worm came into existence because its parents were worms.
A human came into existence because its parents were humans.

Everything else you're saying is nonsensical.

No, neither. I don't "believe in" evolution, I have studied the evidence and understand it.

I think that is generally true; skeptics don't accept 'ex cathedra' pronouncements.
Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.

But this thread is concerning those who do. People who arent actually skeptics.

I do not think that you are getting my message.
I am talking about evolution of consciousness and the way that suppose to be build up.
According to the logic that i believe in life start from small consciousness and with the time and effort become big consciousness.
In order for this to happen the small consciousness require a small physical structure like mineral life, vegetable life and as soon as the consciousness grow it require animal and later human body so it is not that human life came out from the wave of physical development but it is the consciousness that drive this development.
In other words before to be born as a human you were part of the lower form of life (mineral, vegetable, animals).
This contradict those who believe that there is no reincarnation and no goal in life.Wink Shades

When evolutionary scientists say that ALL life when traced back far enough was related. That is the part theists get confused about then stupidly accuse evolution as claiming as idiots like Ray Comfort would claim "Crockoduck".

They do not understand the concept of "common ancestors" and slow changes over long periods of time. Enough separation in DNA sequencing over millions of years you will not look like your ancestors.

Insects plants fish and mammals ALL can be traced back to the first SETS of DNA. Evolution does not claim that monkeys popped out human babies, but that ALL PRIMATES had common ANCESTORS. This is the part theists don't understand.

But it is not that hard to understand. Look at a big cat like a tiger and compare it to a domestic house cat. Same grooming behavior, same twitching tails, same ear and paw shapes.

DNA is in all life which makes all life related en evolutionary history when traced back far enough.

This is something you have invented yourself, unless you can demonstrate it or have evidence of it, shut the fuck up.

You don't get your own type of logic. There is just logic, it is the same for everyone, those who do not follow this, we call illogical.

I have had it up to here with you. You have no evidence of reincarnation, so shut the fuck up about it. Get this through your thick skull. You have no evidence, you cannot demonstrate it, you cannot prove it, so shut up.

If there turns out to be anything in this reincarnation lark, I hope I never come back with a brain as addled as rico's. I shall want my money back if I do.

Knowing my luck, I'll probably come back as me.
