Christian motivations for joining AF

haha Thank you fr0do. If anyone's interested, I hope to post a similar topic called "The Political Problems with Religion." I hope no one assumes I've come here to argue.

I came here to share my beliefs and grow in my understanding of yours. I rebuttle yours to test their limits and see your train of thought laid bare, and also to see how my own beliefs stack up. Ultimately I came here to talk, not debate, argue, convert, or otherwise.
So you come in tranquility not turmoiltousness.

I didn't originally attempt to come here for any reason other than to understand what the term atheism and agnostic means from the source. I didn't even want to offer my feelings or thoughts on God at all, but that wasn't acceptable. I only wanted a differing perspective, since I could no longer ask it publicly on the only other forum I'm a part of. I continue to stay here because I love seeking truth and I find some people on here very knowledgable and reasonable. I know that absolute truth isn't attainable, but the search for truth does lead one to lots of little relative truths. I definately don't like the disection of sentences, or debate flavor, but you take the good with the bad. As long as the baligerence and hypocrisy don't reach threshold or I don't get banned then I'll stay too. |
