Given the context, astrology was just an aside so go start your own thread, and I'll continue my conversation with EvF. I would be willing to discuss it, just not here.I honestly don't remember that conversation. Anyway, I've posted a new thread for you. If you could post the link there I can check it out.

Rhizo,
I am very picky with sexual 'relationships', but I've never had one so I'm not actually sure how picky I'm being If I can find a girl who's an atheist I would consider that better because I won't have to constantly debate with her. And also, religion is a big matter or issue with me, so I don't see why that wouldn't be important to me. Perhaps, but I understand where he is coming from. A partner who constantly wants to "save" you no matter how good the intentions are, that gets old really quick. Likewise for the theist that constantly gets into discussions from an atheist partner.
Best regards,

EvF,
I too, think it would be great to find an atheist girlfriend, but I am open to whatever comes my way. I am picky and if I met a girl who was great for me in most other areas I would be fine if she had a belief in god so long as she wasn't on my ass about going to church all the time. I would even go with her to church sometimes, and go to church activities. I do that now with my parents and know a lot of great people in the church. I just have to maintain a tough skin when it comes to some of their narrow minded veiws. Some of them reject anything that isn't directly related to the bible, so it can be hard. I don't think it is good at predicting the future but when it comes to correlating personality to astrological signs there seems to be some merit to it. There I said correlating so it would sound sciencey. Would have to agree that Homeopathy IS a very dubious "science", Numerology??...for me the jury is still out...I get haunted by numbers and significant things do have an annoying tendancy to happen on certain number days...much to my disgust and attempts to 'short circuit it' Astrology (as I have mentioned) is a useful tool to get a very BROAD view of what is infront of you (in regards to persons)..basically it is like saying that Adrian is from England...it does fit and use the many archetypes that can be found in the human psyche and thus it's appeal. Will agree that planning ones life AROUND such a methodology is boardering on religious fervour. It is amusing that some form of astrology can be found anywhere on the planet. I have also had a Natal chart done and it's only value has been to alert me to health issues and supply information on 'Solar influences' ....interesting document and it is fun to think I have a star chart for the time and date of my birth..... but not somehting that, again, I would slavishly base my whole life on. Perhaps I'm just a frustrated Astrophysicist?? "The Universe is run by the complex interweaving of three elements: energy, matter, and enlightened self-interest." G'Kar-B5
