The South is where people think they can get away with being racist, homophobic, antisemitic, misogynist assholes. And then it's people like me that challenge them. That teacher should not have brought up religion in a classroom setting unless she was going to be inclusive and talk about all beliefs, not just the ones she happened to hold.

It's funny, because if that teacher had been talking about Allah, GC and his brothers-in-christ would be shitting cross-shaped bricks over the separation of church and state.

Actually, a lot of theists are perfectly happy to admit they don't have evidence on their side and couldn't believe it themselves without faith and grace. Those aren't the ones we get here, though.
