RE: Greetings from Virginia!
My mental age is much less than 15, or so I'm told. Welcome GE.
I have a 15 year old daughter who will be 16 in a week. Oh Geez!

Actually, the younger generation is the least religious. Just wait until those teenagers move out of their parents' houses and get out on their own.

I initially read the thread title as "Greetings from Vagina!" It almost made sense, what with you being so young.

Welcome to the forums.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

You are very well-spoken for a 15 year old! Or maybe I'm just used to my college-age brother's text speak.

I left Virginia 6 years ago for North Carolina. That probably doesn't make much sense, except I lived in Northern VA, so...'nuff said.

Welcome.

Seriously, the place -- at least the Chesapeake bay, where I live -- is infested with them. I've probably only met 2-5 atheists outside my immediate family in person. I've been lurking for a few weeks now, and I've finally decided to join in the debating and theist-crushing.

I'm a 15 year old aspiring engineer. I've always been an atheist; I remember hearing bible stories at the Christian preschool I attended and thinking "Why are they telling such dumb stories?"

Welcome! I too am living in Virginia. I'm stationed in VA Beach.

Welcome

Damn, you're younger than my youngest kid! Now I'm really feeling old!
Welcome GE, glad to have you on board. Smile
