Persecuted Christians
December 19, 2013 at 3:02 pm
When I do a Google news search regarding Christians, to see what messed up crap they have gotten themselves into, I see mostly article titles like these:
War on Christmas? It's more like 'War on Christians' in many parts of the world
http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2013/12/1...rts-world/
Christians face growing intolerance, persecution
http://www.indystar.com/story/opinion/re...n/4039821/
Christianity beginning 'to disappear' in its birthplace, warns Prince of Wales
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/p...Wales.html
Iraqi Archbishop Calls on West to ‘Open Eyes’ to Christians’ Middle East Exodus
http://www.charismanews.com/world/42161-...ast-exodus
Once protected, Christians have become fair game in Iraq and Syria
http://www.haaretz.com/news/middle-east/...m-1.563966
This is all I have been seeing for weeks.
American Christians are constantly whining when they do not get their way in oppressing those with whom they disagree, but I would like to see them attempt to live someplace else in the world where they would truly be persecuted. They would not last five minutes.
Do I agree with the persecution of these Christians in the Middle East? Sure, why not. Christians are merely getting theirs back in turn for having spent the last couple thousand years persecuting others.

You know Maelstrom, you really need to care less about those dumb idiots and smell the roses. If you waste your time with fucktards, you are bound to learn something from them, and there is nothing to learn from idiots

Do I have to put my mod hat on Kitnetos? Fix that quote or at least put a (...) in the part you left off! or a "(fixed that for you)"

Quote:Quoting Others Accurately
When using the quote function to quote other members, you may quote in whole or in part, but may not change the quoted text in any way. Breaking this rule may result in staff intervention. Depending on the circumstances surrounding the misquote(s), you may be warned, banned, or have your post edited to indicate the violation and / or amend the misquote. Adding to the quoted text for clarification (i.e. bolding, numbering, italics, etc.) is okay provided you indicate that the additions are yours and not the quoted member's, and provided it doesn't change the meaning of the quoted text. Use of textual alteration for the purpose of parody may be allowed, provided it is clear that the changes have been made to the original quote. In the case of ambiguity, staff will err on the side of preserving the author's original words rather than preserving your artistic license. If in doubt, include the phrase "Changes made to original quotation." at the top of your post. Staff reserve the right to consider misquotations on a case-by-case basis, weighing context and additional factors.
Not upset, but if you did this to any other member, we the staff would have to intervene, I hope you understand our position

Yeah, those poor, poor American Christians getting persecuted here in the good ol' USA... Why even just yesterday A&E fired Phil Robertson from his own Duck Dynasty TV show after he simply pointed out in an interview how those evil gays make people want to have sex with animals and are going to burn in Hell forever, praise Jesus!

I have a friend who did military counter intelligence in the middle east. One of the patterns that started getting noticed was this: the more power religious fundamentalist groups got, the more corrupt they got. So, when the Taliban or whatever islamic extremist group got to be the absolute authority, they wouldn't hold back with things like murder, kidnappings, rape, torture and other horrific crimes. On the other hand, if you look at the groups that actually are fringe, they're usually pretty cool and laid back and they actually try to do some good to the world. In that part of the world, the minority religion that didn't act like assholes wer the Christians.
So, given that, no, I don't think the Christians deserve to be persecuted in the middle east. In the same way I don't think Muslims deserve to be persecuted here. But I would still like to take the Faux News crowd, send them to live in Saudi Arabia for a month or so and see if they can get a better understanding of what real persecution is. They whine and bitch about people saying "Happy holidays" or how their teacher can't lead a prayer but let them try getting away with that in Iran.
I live on facebook. Come see me there. http://www.facebook.com/tara.rizzatto

What a heartless, rotten thing to say about innocent victims.
Then why not take you out, whip, and hang you for the transgression of your slave trading ancestors? Or anything your ancestors did for that matter?
Whats the difference? That was just WRONG to say!
