So doesn't your ipad have a voice recognition ability? it seems to me that that would be easier, and you'd be able to increase the volume of your posts, no?

I actually used to use JAWS quite a bit when I was writing email software for my dearly departed Mother. In fact, I am an only child of two blind parents, or maybe that should be, was.

if it's not too personal because I have a lot of questions about my future would you mind me asking what it was like to go but blind parents I kind of still want to have children but I'm kind of worried what it would be like not being able to do certain things with them especially having been a lover reading books when I could still see and being someone who had always loved outdoor sports

To me, having blind parents was completely normal and it was everyone else who was different. I can honestly say that I had no problems growing up at all and both my parents, especially my Mother seemed to be able to do everything a sighted person could.

Both my parents could read braille and so my Mother would read me bedtime stories when I was younger and as I have no interest in sport, much to my Father's annoyance, that was never a problem either.

Also, my Father had a hereditary eye condition which led to his blindness and my Mother, who was totally blind, went to an all girls boarding school for the blind which meant that most of our family friends and relatives, uncles and aunties etc. were also blind, so I was pretty much immersed in the blind world if you like from the year zero. It was also a world full of guide dogs.

Believe me when I say that in my experience, being blind is absolutely no obstacle to successfully bringing up children. I mean take me for example, I turned out to be fabulous!! HUGE GRIN.

I guess I'm just slightly scared of "the blind bubble". I know that sometimes blind people tend to self segregate and they end up cutting themselves off from the rest of the world, becoming disdainful of things like art, colors,bike riding, print books, or at least some of the ones I've met. Sometimes I feel like they just go with the bare necessities to survive. Like just because they can't understand the skies blue they still can't look up at it and marvel at how big and vast and huge it all is. It's one of the things that frustrates me at the blind artist here blind Coulter is not very supportive of blind are there so disdainful of it, i'm actually the only blind artist in the state; I know there's a lot of musicians and writers and poets but as far as painters and jewelry makers hi you've just met the only one, here I am! Usually it's not so bad for the ones weren't born blind or aren't from the south. But the southern people who were born blind and are from here they kind of scare me a bit. And I'm so scared of subjecting any child to this kind of thing.
