While he has a point about nearly all white South Africans being racist, it amuses me that it's an Aussie saying so. They have a reputation for racism (and sexism) here, themselves.

There's a lot of segregation in SA still, and I do find the white south Africans to be quite arrogant and expect everyone to share their obscene prejudices, like they're a good thing.
I've thought he was guilty from the start. I keep trying to see if I can find anything to persuade me of his innocence but so far nothing. I had a SA colleague a few years ago and he'd always address our female boss as 'M'aam. He said that it was how he was brought up.

"if Pistorius is convicted of culpable homicide and the judge hands down a stiff sentence, it's highly unlikely that the state will appeal. If she acquits him entirely, an appeal would be expected"
