Man Requests Satanic Prayer Before Town Council Meeting

I would like to know Christians thoughts on this. Do you think its fair? I'm no satanist.. i think he is as fictional as God but if you open the door for one religion then why not all? If its okay for you.. why not everyone else?

The guy with the petition is not really a Satanist, either. He's just using Satanism as a tool to prove a point.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.
Science is not a subject, but a method.

Actually, it's "Having to host invocations from other religions violates my rights, because I don't believe in those religions."

Yeah, just try and unravel the logic of that one. Dodgy

Go for it as far as I'm concerned.

Town council meetings are among the most boring things on earth. I doubt he really wants to sit through them just to make a point. He'd likely do it once for the headlines and quit.

And, from my point of view, he makes an excellent representative for atheism, what with the festivus pole made of Pabst cans and all.

Too bad. I think real satanism deserves equal representation.
