Govt. money flowing to certain scientists (Mistresses of sorts) enabled the new twist to get traction.

Outstanding point. We are all familiar with the lavish, government-funded lifestyles of climate scientists. Their fleets of limousines, their hordes of concubines, the 50-room mansions, and the solid rhodium diamond-encrusted toilets, accompanied by watered silk toilet paper, hand woven by Nubian virgins.

If I could live my life again, I'd be one of those obscenely wealthy climatologists. No more working for me, no sir. Just publish a paper every now and then, and spend the rest of my time being hand-fed crystallized jellyfish and curried hummingbird tongue by Lupita Nyong'o's sister (the pretty one) while a phalanx of porn starlet wannabes stand ready to dust the left side of my scrotum as needed.

Clearly, climate science is where the money is.
