The System The Republicunts Think is so Great

RE: The System The Republicunts Think is so Great
It's worse than that, my neighbor is a medical scammer that plays the system to get VA disability benefits that he certainly doesn't deserve. He claims he suffers from battle induced PTSD from the Vietnam jungles, had his wife command us not to shoot fireworks on July 4th, but he was only in the airforce in '71 and and as far as I can tell from public records, never set foot in the country. He claims to be a "retired" fire department chaplin. I guess thats a jesus preacher to the poor people who've just lost their homes to fire. Asshole..

Hmm, I have TriCare, and I have yet to be denied any services. I am not a fan of military doctors, since those are the tards that messed up my legs during surgery.

Yes I am with you there FreeTony. We are very lucky. At least when you go in the doctors give you exactly the treatment you NEED instead of giving you a range of options that your insurance says you can afford and asking you to choose.

Most claims are paid by Tricare without a hitch. The same is true for Anthem. Medically necessary claims get denied all the time by both private insurers and public ones. Often for such reasons as the wrong diagnostic code was used on the claim form. What Minimalist is doing is arguing an exception and pretending it applies to the general. He does this because he wants you to hate those big money insurance cocksuckers and not because he actually cares about the person having a claim issue with an insurer.

Sounds like you're describing the government bureaucrats who are running the VA. Scamming the system to pad their bonuses at the expense of ailing and dying veterans. Crooked government twits.

We've been over this. Except when we went over it, you stopped addressing my points when I buried your right-wing sound-bites under facts and opted to instead address the stuff you could more readily engage from other posters.

Running and hiding from posts and then surfacing again in another topic you know I will be lurking in. Tisk tisk. Someone's a glutton for punishment.

heywood Wrote:I have seen Tri-care/CHAMPUS, a government health insurance program, deny claims because they were not medically necessary on multiple occasions. God forbid getting your claims paid under Tri-Care if you're the rare male that comes down with breast cancer.

Big Government Bureaucracy....they are a bunch of miserable fucks too.....but the democunts seem to love them.

Ah ah ah, no no no, you know the rules of how to have your claims taken seriously; provide citations or links. Hitchens say: What can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence. And I don't accept hearsay.

To address what flimsy assertion is here all the same, however (I love busting peoples' balls when I'm in a foul mood and highly sleep deprived), what claims were denied based on them not being medically necessary? I mean, all you said was that you've seen it happen. For what, men's breast cancer? I hate to tell ya this, chief, but it's little wonder it's not covered: Less than 1% of all breast cancer cases happen in men. It's such a rare condition that the treatment options are not covered. 2,360 men develop it yearly. I imagine that the amount of men who have Tricare and get breast cancer, well...core of the planet-low numbers. I highly doubt any other insurance provider would cover treatment, either. Wanna know why? Due to the rarity of breast cancer in men, doctors have been unable to effectively test treatment options and results. In other words, treatment is, officially, unknown, and again, I highly doubt any private healthcare "insurance provider" (and I use those words loosely to describe all those useless dishonorable unethical corporate buttsluts) would be so kind as to pay for it, either.

Quote:Most of the information about treating male breast cancer comes from doctors' experience with treating female breast cancer. Because so few men have breast cancer, it is hard for doctors to study the treatment of male breast cancer patients separately in clinical trials.

Point me in the direction of a company that DOES cover breast cancer in men, and I'll concede that point, at least. That said, you're comparing a really rare type of cancer, the treatment of which is so far not backed by clinical trials to show efficacy, to a guy having lung cancer that spread all over his body and, in his lungs, there was a tumor the size of a baseball, and on top of that his lungs were filling with fluid, which would have killed him within the day. There's a difference between being unsure if the treatment is even going to be effective and therefore refusing to provide coverage for it, and simply refusing to treat someone when you know the treatment is effective, simply because you're basically death-paneling him to line your pockets.

The sad thing is, you and AT both seem to be defending the guys who want to refuse to pay for the guy who is obviously in dire, desperate need of coverage despite him paying for what should OBVIOUSLY AND CLEARLY be covered.

You're grasping at straws, the both of you. Put some sustenance into your reasons for bitching and whining and moaning about those evil socialist programs that cost you a nickel a year in taxes to pay your part into it, or get back down on your knees, wrap your lips around that big meaty corporate cock, and get back to sucking.

Quote:In 2007, the California Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC), a California state regulatory agency, investigated the company's policies for revoking (rescinding) health care insurance policies. The DMHC randomly selected 90 instances in which the company canceled the insurance of policy holders after diagnoses with costly or life-threatening illnesses, to determine how many cancellations were legally justified. The agency concluded that Anthem Blue Cross lacked legal grounds for canceling policies in every single instance. "In all 90 files, there was no evidence (that Blue Cross), before rescinding coverage, investigated or established that the applicant's omission/misrepresentation was willful," the DMHC report said.

UHM. So. They RANDOMLY SELECTED...hang on, lemme get this straight...they randomly...RANDOMLY...selected 90 cases of Anthem rescinding health-care coverage upon their customers being diagnosed with costly and/or terminal illnesses...and EVERY. SINGLE. LAST. ONE. OF THE 90 RANDOMLY SELECTED CASES. WAS LEGALLY UNJUSTIFIABLE.

Just quit. Throw in the towel on this debate. There is no fucking way in hell you can sit there and lie through your teeth that Anthem pays out most of their claims when they have a history of rescinding care for expensive and/or terminally ill patients' coverage at a rate that is basically 100%.

Oh and then there's the whole thing where over the course of a year they literally doubled the cost of health-care for their policy holders, while lying through their teeth saying it was to keep up with costs when their rate increases were four times higher than the medical inflation rate...I like that one... And then they justify it by saying there's a "death spiral." Well, given how often they rescind policies for policy holders who are terminally ill, I really don't see the justification! And apparently neither did the senate!

They pay out reliably... Pay out my fucking ass!

This doesn't make a lot of sense.
Obamacare = big-money insurance coverage unless you qualify for Medicare

It makes perfect sense if your only education regarding the ACA comes from the likes of Free Republic or Fox News.

Your username should be 'Creed of Bullshit' because that's all your points are. It's pointless to keep addressing your repeating the left-wing Tu quoque diversions of, deflecting blame to the Republicans, talking points that you heard somewhere on television or read from a left-leaning article. There's no running and hiding from you. There's just no use in continuing to argue a point with a dedicated and programmed leftist when your response is always, ignore or deny there's a problem if it reflects badly on barack and the democrats, and respond with, "What about the Republicans?!" "Look what the Republicans did!"

As far back as 2008 Barack knew there were problems within the VA. In his first bid for a presidential run Barack promised that he would fix those problems and take care of our Veterans. During the first two years of his first term as president Barack and the dems had control of the White House and of Congress. Why didn't he do anything meaningful then? He was too busy pushing obamacare in his first term to give a damn about anything else. Only to the left does it make sense to continue throwing money at a problem without first addressing and cleaning up the corruption.

Tisk tisk...your only arguments are ignore, deny, and deflect.

As I said before: I addressed all of this. I'm not the one who is bullshitting if you're the one who went silent the moment I broke your argument into pieces. The evidence is there for anyone who wants to read it. For anyone who hasn't yet (please see the thread in this same section of the forums regarding the VA "scandal" and please notice how after I address every single one of AT's points, he stops responding to me), to summarize; AT is focused on the plant of the weed and willfully ignoring the root of the problem. He claims Obama did nothing in 2008. He did. It was called a funding reworking, and had the VA attempt to reduce wait times by moving everything to an electronic system so as to better organize patient claims and address wait times at facilities more effectively:
http://www.louisville.va.gov/news/va_acc...hments.asp
Several VA administrators found a way around this by keeping paper records instead, so that they could still keep track of their patients, but not show just how badly their facilities were performing. A few individuals came forwards and said it was happening. The (republican) congress then took over a week to issue a "Do not destroy" order on ALL records the VA facilities hold...plenty of time for the VA admins to destroy quite a bit of evidence. I do not blame the republicans entirely on this, despite AT's victim complex thinking I am, but I AM saying they sure as hell didn't handle this mess any better, for all their squawking about what a travesty this is. They keep all saying it's a scandal. 40 veterans died waiting. If all those records were electronically maintained, would they still have received treatment? Well, no, because, again, the republican congress voted against increasing the VA's budget several times, and in fact cut it down mere months ago...and AT keeps putting his fingers in his ears screaming "LALALALA CAN'T HEAR YOU" when I bring up that shortly after this budget cut, which immediately resulted in care provision and coverage being cut for veterans, 22 VETERANS A DAY COMMIT SUICIDE RATHER THAN SUFFER WITHOUT CARE THAT COULD HAVE BEEN ALLEVIATED IF THE REPUBLICAN CONGRESS HAD SIMPLY INCREASED THE VA'S BUDGET TO BUILD MORE FACILITIES AND HIRE MORE FUCKING STAFF INSTEAD OF FUCKING CUTTING IT AND IF THE REPUBLICAN SENATORS HADN'T BLOCKED THAT EVIL SOCIALIST BERNIE SANDERS' PROPOSED LEGISLATION TO INCREASE FUNDING TO BUILD MORE FUCKING FACILITIES AND INCREASE STANDARDS OF CARE.

There. Stop ignoring it. You literally have to be blind to not see this.

I don't want to hear another peep out of you about this, AT. Until you adequately address what I said before, and what I have had to say YET AGAIN, your bitching about this scandal is small fucking potatoes to what the party you slavishly devote yourself to is guilty of. THAT is why I don't seem to care all that much about the VA "scandal." SMALL. TIME. CRAP. COMPARED. TO. THE. CAUSE. OF. THE. REAL. FUCKING. PROBLEM. Do I have to keep fucking spelling it out for you? I'm getting tired of trying to get you to break out of your tunnel vision and look at the broader issue. You can call me a liberal all you want [I'm a socialist; that is to say, I think that virtually nothing our government does is adequate or satisfactory and needs improvement in just about every way imaginable for the betterment of the population and the country as a whole] to try to vindicate your paranoia of me supposedly just hating on the republicans, but here's the thing, if the republicans weren't the cause of the greater issue regarding the VA, I wouldn't be bitching about them; I'd be bitching about the ones who ARE responsible.

Miserable fucks.

The question is if his body is covered with tumor, how long would he live even if he is treated immediately?

If he would live 5 more days but the treatment would cost 100,000 dollars, I would agree the treatment should not be given, although I would not have so clumsily said it was "unnecessary". I would have said it was "useless" or "unjustified".
