Red pill or blue?

RE: Red pill or blue?
When you say it like that Welsh Cake they did completely fuck up the delivery. In all honesty I never did understand the 'point' with the Matrix films, after you explaining it it actually makes sense now. Sadly the film itself didn't explain a damn thing, that whole shit with the 'architect' completely threw me off.

Precisely. They fucked up the sequels.

This precisely.

But of course, if there's a dollar to be made...

Completely agree with Welsh Cake too, ol the original matrix was a good film, and would have been better if it was stand alone. The premise was set up and the arc of the characters was easily to follow. The open ended bit of the film where neo flies off allows the audience to draw their own conclusions but simultaneously proves that the world of the matrix will never be the same again following neo's ascension.

The latter two prove that the majority of people don't care about plot lines, neither to they try to in most cases. People just like flickering images on the screen, which is why utter shite like transformers and Adam sandler films consistently do well in the box office.

Taking both is not recommended. You will still live comfortably knowing all the time that your life is bullshit... In other words, a permanent hell.

Red pill, always, its better to know then to not.

Is it though?

With the Matrix analogy, I would genuinely rather live a life of ignorant bliss, as opposed to a life of struggle and fighting to survive.

I mean, especially if you get to choose to come back as a rich actor. That shit would be awesome. Way better than living in some dingy place called 'Zion'.

Yes, but in that moment, choosing between knowledge and willful ignorance? Maybe if the stakes were really that high, I would think differently than I do now. But I always choose knowledge, even if it means something shittier.

Plus, I have to trust the machines that I will have a great life. If I don't know any better, they could stick me as a sewer rat in Flea Bottom and I'd be none the wiser.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great
