You may be getting assumptions about your motives because it sounds like a trick question. Why would I have a goal in life as an atheist? It's an opinion on one topic, not the most important thing about me. I'd rather be a mostly rational believer than a mostly irrational atheist.
As an atheist, what's YOUR goal in life?
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

Drinking delicious wines; mostly cabs, but pinots, malbecs and the occasional white are quite acceptable. Eating. All.The.Time. Nom nom nom. Mostly BBQ Bebbe, but a steak once in a while is nice too. Developing an entourage of sycophants and other hangers on, who initially will be my friends, but will only be pretending so they can steal my hard earned money, stab me in the back, and then blab to the tabloids about love child this and ponzi scheme that. Once the SEC gets involved the fun stops! Becoming a famous guitar player in a doom metal band. You know, the usual.
I'm no atheist, but my goal is simple... Respect.
Why do you think that being an atheist has something to do with my goals in life?

Additionally, his original signature before he changed it was "atheist atheist atheist atheist atheist". Tripped my eyebrow-raise-meter.
