My name is Joe and I have been reading some of the works by Dawkins and Hitchens and have been working on developing a greater understanding of my freedom from religious tyranny. I have, in the past, been involved in fundamental religious belief systems and studied the bible obsessively. I know that end of the spectrum pretty well. It's only recently, after stumbling upon some of the interviews with Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens, that I have decided that I need to rid my self of the iron yoke of superstition and breathe freely as a non believer of doctrines that do nothing for the human experience. I am grateful to be able to find a forum to be able to expand my convictions as I step further away from the conditioning I endured as a child on into adulthood. Please understand that I am new and have much to learn, and unlearn. Thank you for acceptance to this forum.

Enjoy the journey Joe.

I did a pulled pork and a chuck roast (for pulled beef) in my smoker over the weekend. About 20lbs of meat in one go. Plenty to freeze for later. What's your specialty BBQ-wise?
Welcome.
Babyque will be held later. Glad you've found a way out of superstition. I know the transformation can be difficult, especially from fundamentalist religion. I recommend watching some of the Thinking Atheist podcasts on YouTube. SOme of them are very informative and helpful. Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni: "You did WHAT? With WHO?
