What the fuck does my atheism have to do with my goals in life?

My atheism has nothing to do with my aspirations, my hopes, or my dreams.
My atheism is merely a recognition of reality. My goals as a human being? Well... To live as long and as happy as possible is the instinctive, primary need. Self-preservation after-all, is programmed into all of us. That is, how we as a species are still here, in this hostile environment. To make the world a better place is simply unrealistic. I'm just one person, with relatively no friends, or outside assistance. That's beyond my resources and capabilities. I cannot hope to do that. No more than I can hope to turn back the tide. To do my best is simply my goal, my life and my dream. To love and serve my family. To give my sisters liberation, a home that's not falling apart, and thus give them a future. I wish I could make other people's lives vastly better. But alas, charity starts at home. I'd be a hypocrite and a lousy brother if I allowed my next of kin to struggle penniless in a ramshackle building, while I donate everything to a complete stranger. Any happiness or joy I feel after that obligation, is simply a bonus.
Yeah, my being atheist is a side-effect of my being a rationalist. As such, it doesn't inform my goals at all.
My goals are to be a good father, be a good man, preach the blues to an expanding audience, and die happy.
To crush my enemies, see them driven before me, and to hear the lamentation of their women!
